The cottonproduction is decreased due to fall in the area sownwhich is due to less rates of cotton nationally andinternationally prevailed during last two years thatdiscouraged the growers to put more area under cropand shifting the area to maize and rice crops in somedistricts of Punjab due to their better market returns.
