logistics cost brought down by 22% and manpower down by 35% in 3 years. The average productivity
improved by 20% of the process.
WMS system : Designed, developed and implemented completely scanner based WMS system to manage
the entire factory warehouse in Singapore. (Oct – 09 to April- 10)
The New customized WMS in Thailand : This project is to design a customized solution for our Thailand
warehouse. As this is outsource warehouse and not owned by Murata the solution was totally designed
from the scratch including the layout , operations and It system.
In year 2009 my team implemented a new project with the help of our partner Xerox which has change d
the way used to print and archive the documents. This lead to significant saving in cost and improved the
productivity by almost 80%.
3. Document and Information Management system (DIMS) – This is to consolidate the information across
different warehouses and make available to different sales users at different location so they can track the
progress of every shipment. This project also consolidated printing at one place and eliminated
unnecessary document movement. This project is being implemented in 4 ASEAN countries
Paper saving mission – We embark on a project in 2007 to cut the paper saving by at-least 30%. Through
various IT system development we eliminated many documents and labels printing and thereby saved
more than 35% of paper which ultimately also saved cost on ink, electricity and man power. We help our
company in its “Save the earth mission”. (For this my team received MD award in 2007).
Efficiently implemented the Global Sales System Unification on 1st
January 2007 after working on for more
than 18 months. Basically it was headquarter initiated project but due to our specialized operation lot of
localization was required. The entire common portion is done by head office while the local portion is
designed and coded by our IT staff.
Efficiently headed the Factory Warehouse Project which bagged the MD Award in 2006. The project
improved the productivity by 100%.
Proficiently managed the Sales Warehouse Project, which was undertook for managing the warehouse ’s re-
sale operations. Same as factory warehouse this system was changed from outsource to In-house. (Both
warehouse systems are the feather in my cap). They are appreciated wherever they are implemented. The
appreciation is for improving the productivity by almost 100%.
Project handled in IT for Sales dept :
Y2K Project – Lead the Y2K project in Murata Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand for which I
bagged the MD Award in 2000. Successfully planned, tested and implemented the Y2K Project during year
1998-1999 with an able team of 4 support staff.
AS/400 and Lotus notes application Integration - This concept went on to become one the biggest
productivity tool to cut the cost and to get the higher productivity from the staff. In this project the 2
different systems were used for the common goal, User entry duplication was eliminated, a proper
workflow process is being established.
Achievements:
2010 - Murata Singapore has given my team the Managing Director’s award for designing, developing and
successfully implementing the scanner based system in our Singapore factory warehouse. This is first of a
kind project in entire Murata group. It fixed our quality problems and improved the tracking and
accountability. This project is already implemented in Asia region.
2009 – Murata HQ had given an award for successfully leading the project which was initiated by HQ. My
team has implemented the entire WMS project in Thailand on its own. Our team got an exposure to work
on big international project independently.
2009 – Murata Singapore has given me the Managing Director’s award for leading the team on successful
project which has help company to save substantial cost and save the carbon footprint. I personally not
only received the award but a lesson in environment saving which will go long way.

project. Apart from receiving an award what I learn is information sharing is such a powerful tool which
can save thousands of dollar for company and time for its employee.
2007 – Murata Singapore has given the Managing Director’s award for successfully implementing the “Save
the Earth mission”. My team’s efforts not only saved company’s thousands of dollars but also created
awareness amongst its employee about environment. We as team also learned that small-small
observation and ideas can change the life.
2006 – Murata Singapore has given the Managing Director’s award for successfully implementing the
Factory warehouse management system. This project has strengthen our belief that with good
knowledgeable people one can creates its own system and there is no need to rely on external product
which are not suitable, very expensive to implement & maintain. It gave tremendous credibility to my
leadership.
