6. Discipleship Discipleship – The process whereby we walk new and young Christians through some of the foundational principles of Christianity. Process – We have the system in place. It starts with Pastor’s book – “Now That You’re A Christian”. It follows with a workbook entitled, “The Purple Book”. We then close out the discipleship process with a customized study based on the individuals core needs. Opportunities - If you desire to walk people through this discipleship process, please contact the office and we will connect you into this very rewarding ministry opportunity.
7. Mentorship Mentorship – (follows discipleship) The privilege of building relationships with individuals for the purpose of helping them mature in their Christian walk. Process – A customized system that flows directly out of the discipleship structure and from the assessment of the mentor. Opportunities - If you desire to walk people through this Mentoring process, please contact the office and we will connect you into this very rewarding ministry opportunity.
9. VIP VIP – Volunteer Initiative Program. Purpose - Provide opportunities for us to break outside of the walls of the church and into the community through volunteerism. System - Working in collaboration with local volunteer centres, we will connect you with volunteer opportunities that best suit your personality, skill set and heart for people. Opportunities – If you would like to volunteer your time and talents to this purposeful ministry, please contact the office.
10. Crusades Crusades – Special meetings held outside of our church building. Purpose – To take the gospel to the streets, towns and communities of the surrounding areas. System – Following a specified mandate for each event, we will organize every aspect from music to advertising. Opportunities – If you would like to connect with this exciting ministry, please contact the office.
11. Mass Mailing Mass Mailing – The design and distribution of materials highlighting specific church events. Purpose – To let the community know of events taking place through the various ministries of VLC. System – Specified for each event; the design, organization and distribution of all mass mailings. Opportunities – If you would like to connect with this exciting ministry, please contact the office.
12. Conferences Conferences – Special meetings held here at the church or at a location within St. Albert. Purpose – To provide opportunities for Christian growth and development first within the members of VLC and then to the Christian community at large. Opportunities – If you would like to connect with this exciting ministry, please contact the office.
13. Specialized Services Specialized Services – Special services held here at the church. Purpose – To provide opportunities for Christian growth and development within the members of VLC and to provide opportunities for members to invite people who they think may benefit from them. Ex: Marriage seminars, Divorce care, Parenting tools... Opportunities – If you would like to connect with this exciting ministry, please contact the office.
15. Equip What’s Equip? It is our bi-monthly team building gathering. Who’s it for? For every person currently involved in an area of ministry here at VLC. What’s it about? It’s all about Encouraging us to become all that God has designed us to be and Equipping us to Engage. What’s an evening like? Pastor brings a timely word followed by team huddles. These huddles provides opportunities for each team to connect with their players to discuss strategy and scheduling.
16. Impart What’s Impart? It is our bi-monthly team leadership gathering. Who’s it for? For the leadership team here at VLC. What’s it about? It’s all about Encouraging the leadership to become all that God has designed them to be and Equipping them to Engage.
17. Specialized Training At various times throughout the year there will be opportunities for personal and team development. This will occur by various means such as and not limited to; video instruction, online development, blog articles, book reading...
