OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT
The main aim of the project is the development of a vehicle theft
alert and location identification system becomes more necessary
for vehicle owners to ensure theft prevention and a speedy
identification towards recovery efforts in situations where a
vehicle is missing,stolen or driven by an unauthorized person.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
This project is fixed inside the vehicle. When the vehicle is
parked the microcontroller locks the coordinates (latitude,
longitude and altitude of that particular place. If anybody
move the vehicle from that place microcontroller can detect
and sends SMS to the user or vehicle owner. After moving
vehicle from fixed coordinates microcontroller sends
coordinates to user continuously. With the help of this project
we can easily find out the vehicle position through coordinates

ARDUINO UNO
>The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller
board based on the ATmega328
(datasheet).
> It has 14 digital input/output pins (of
which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6
analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic
resonator, a USB connection, a power jack,
an ICSP header, and a reset button.
> It contains everything needed to support
the microcontroller

POWER SUPPLY
> The input to the circuit is applied from the regulated power supply.
> The output obtained from the rectifier is a pulsating d.c voltage. So
in order to get a pure d.c voltage, the output voltage from the rectifier
is fed to a filter to remove any a.c components present even after
rectification. Now, this voltage is given to a voltage regulator to obtain
a pure constant dc voltage.

LCD
>Liquid Crystal Display also
called as LCD is very helpful in
providing user interface as well as
for debugging purpose.
Accelerometer
> The designing of these sensors can be
done with the 1- 100-micrometer
components.
> Accelerometer are low-cost, and high
accuracy inertial sensors

GSM
> GSM is a mobile communication modem; it
is stands for global system for mobile
communication (GSM).
> The idea of GSM was developed at Bell
Laboratories in 1970.
> It is widely used mobile communication
system in the world.
SWITCHES
>A switch is an electrical component that can
disconnect or connect the conducting path in an
electrical circuit, interrupting the electric
current or diverting it from one conductor to
another

BUZZER
> A buzzer or beeper is an audio
signaling device, which may be
mechanical, electromechanical,
or piezoelectric.
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR
> This sensor can be used to
measure the water level, monitor
a sump pit, detect rainfall or
detect leakage.

CONCLUSION
A low cost, easy to use tracking and anti-theft system is presented in this
paper. The system was composed of a tracking module containing an
embedded system with a GSM module to report burglary and retrieve
real-time vehicle location and send it to tracking server. The tracking
server receives the transmitted information via SMS.

APPLICATIONS
1.GPS Car theft detection can be used in
transportation vehicles of Companies, schools,
colleges, and industries.
2.This project can be used in our cars and even on
bikes.

When the vehicle is parked the microcontroller locks the coordinates (latitude, longitude and altitude of that particular place. If anybody move the vehicle from that place microcontroller can detect and sends SMS to the user or vehicle owner. After moving vehicle from fixed coordinates microcontroller sends coordinates to user continuously. With the help of this project we can easily find out the vehicle position through coordinates

  • 8. Project review -2 - ECE Department 8 POWER SUPPLY > The input to the circuit is applied from the regulated power supply. > The output obtained from the rectifier is a pulsating d.c voltage. So in order to get a pure d.c voltage, the output voltage from the rectifier is fed to a filter to remove any a.c components present even after rectification. Now, this voltage is given to a voltage regulator to obtain a pure constant dc voltage.

  • 13. Project review -1 - ECE Department 13 CONCLUSION A low cost, easy to use tracking and anti-theft system is presented in this paper. The system was composed of a tracking module containing an embedded system with a GSM module to report burglary and retrieve real-time vehicle location and send it to tracking server. The tracking server receives the transmitted information via SMS.
