There are nearly 50 campus clubs and organizations available to you, along with

Your college education and experiences will be whatever you make them to be. We’d love for you to become an active member on
campus, so you may want to join a campus club/organization or start one of your own! (see list below) There also are a number of
student activities like plays, concerts, sporting events, community service projects or merely socializing in the cafeteria to keep you
entertained. We just want you to know there is more to your college education than classes, your books and playing video games in
your room. So, get out there and be all that you can be!
I’ve had a great first year of college thanks to
NWOSU. I’ve always had diverse interests and
due to the wonderful support of this university
I’ve been able to pursue many endeavors. I’ve
been a part of theatrical productions, written
dozens of articles for the paper, was active
with PLC, am officially a student ambassador,
work for the recruitment office, have pursued
community service endeavors, entered writing
competitions... Like I said, diverse interests. I
was able to do all of this because of the amazing
staff and students at NWOSU who have given
me these opportunities. I’m forever grateful for
the generosity and kind spirit of these people.
I’m so grateful for the amazing friends I’ve
made and many experiences from this year.

Developing the leadership potential in each student is an important part of the educational process at Northwestern. Through
leadership courses as part of our general education program and by participating in special programs such as the President’s
Leadership Class for freshmen and the Chesapeake Scholars/Leadership Northwestern program for upperclassmen, all students are
given the opportunity to develop qualities that will prepare them for leadership and service roles on campus, in their communities and
in their professions.
#Leadership
Northwestern has a long
history of graduates who
have utilized the leadership
skills honed here to become
leaders at the highest levels
of business, public service

Northwestern.

My time at Northwestern has been nothing
less than amazing! When I first came, I did not
know what to expect. I quickly found out that
this was home. Between the amazing staff and
professors I have never felt more in place. At
Northwestern Oklahoma State University I have
been able to not only further my education, but
also my leadership skills. I have been able to be
involved in Student Government, Northwestern
Student Ambassadors, CORE, REAL, and
intramural sports. I have also been able to be
a Ranger Connector and a Resident Assistant.
No other campus would allow me be apart of
so much, and still have time to make life-long
friends! Northwestern was the best decisions
that I have made! I have had the time of my life
and cannot wait for my senior year as a Ranger!

“Home is where the heart is, and Northwestern Oklahoma
State is a place with heart. It’s about family, it’s about
friends, it’s about a support network. We have that in Marine
Corps., but this place has it over any place that I’ve ever
been... Some of the senior leaders in our Corps come from
the naval academy, the ivy league schools on the east
coast, but I’ve always been proud to be from a small college
in the heartland of America, where people learn values
such as responsibility, hard work, and what it takes to do
a good job. You can take an education from Northwestern
Oklahoma State and compete in any big company or
organization in America. The people here have heart.”
~ Maj. Gen. Vaughn A. Ary, Staff judge advocate to the Commandant of
the Marine Corps and Director, Judge Advocate Division
“Northwestern was everything to me.”
~ Patrick Crayton, NFL Football Player from DeSoto, Texas
Drafted in the NFL’s 7th round in 2004 by the Dallas Cowboys. Played
wide receiver for the Cowboys for six seasons. Also played for the San
Diego Chargers.
“The Northwestern family positioned me for success.”
~ Dr. Brock Schnebel, U.S. Olympic Physician, (1996 Atlanta and 2000
Sydney games). Lead team physician for the University of Oklahoma
football team and Physician at the McBride Clinic in Oklahoma City.
“I received scholarship money from Northwestern, and I
wanted to go to a small school so I could get hands-on
experience starting with my freshman year. I learned so
many things that I use in my business today.”
~ Nicolle (Rubenstein) Campbell, originally from Enid, Okla. Owner/The
Actor’s Scene in Buford, Ga. Won the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award
from Actors, Models & Talent for Christ (AMTC), and her company’s
students have been selected for numerous film/TV/commercial roles.
“Northwestern provided an excellent basis for my
technology career. The math instructors helped develop a
logical thought process that translated well into computer
languages. Northwestern also provides many opportunities
to interact with different people – different races, cultures,
religions, etc. It’s a great opportunity to learn relationship
building skills.”
~ Robert Reeg, President, MasterCard Technologies. MasterCard serves
consumers and businesses in more than 210 countries and territories.
“Northwestern helped to shape who I am today by teaching
me about the possibilities in the world and that a person
should never give up on their dreams.”
~ Josh Holland, Celebrity/Olympic athletic trainer, model and
actor in New York City; originally from Chandler, Okla. Has been a
personal trainer for Madonna and performed with her at the 2012 Super
Bowl. He also was a trainer at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and
has numerous other trainers working for him in his own company.
“Northwestern allowed me to live my dream by giving me a
chance to play a game I loved at another level and further
my education. Now, and more importantly, it’s allowing me
to see my kids chase their dreams, and I cannot imagine it
happening at a better place.”
~ Dustin Miller, past Ranger basketball player & member of Sports
Hall of Fame. Currently is the assistant community service director for
the City of Pampa, Texas, where he oversees the golf course, library,
recreation park, local auditorium and water park.

Bridge Program -- (www.nwosu.edu/bridge-program)
Many students take advantage of the cooperative agreements between
NOC and Northwestern and make a smooth transition to Northwestern for
completion of their four-year degree; however, many other students come
to Northwestern-Enid from other paths. Students are able to finish a degree
they started earlier in life or transfer in coursework from other institutions.
These learners find an understanding and welcoming staff ready to help
them complete the degree program of their choice.
