5. 7 Calling the twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them
authority over impure spirits.
12 They went out and preached that people should repent. 13 They drove out many
demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. (Mark 6, 7;12-

9. ■ And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates
of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew, 16:18)
■ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew, 28:19)
■ And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them,
saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for
you is the new covenant in my blood.” (Luke, 22:19-20)
■ Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you.As the Father has sent me, even so I
am sending you.”And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to
them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven
them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.” (John, 20:21-23)

12. ■ 3 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it
lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?” 4 He answered, “Have
you not read that he who created them from the beginning made
them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave
his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two
shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two but one
flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man
separate.” 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command
one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” 8 He
said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed
you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not
so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for
sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”

15. A Sacrament which is
a sign of The ultimate
Matrimony
25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the
church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might
sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of
water with the word, 27 so that he might present the
church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle
or any such thing, that she might be holy and without
blemish. 28 In the same way husbands should love
their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife
loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh,
but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the
church, 30 because we are members of his
body. 31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and
mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall
become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound,
and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the
Church. (Ephesians, 5:25-32)

18. Final prayer to Saint Joseph
To you, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our afflictions, and having
implored the help of your most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke
your patronage also.
Through that charity which bound you to the ImmaculateVirgin Mother of
God and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child
Jesus, we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which
Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood, and with your power and
strength to aid us in our necessities.
O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children
of Jesus Christ; O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion
of error and corrupting influence; O our most mighty protector, be
kind to us and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of
darkness.
As once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril, so now protect
God’s Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all
adversity; shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection, so
that, supported by your example and your aid, we may be able to live
piously, to die in holiness, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven.
Amen.
