Calling Etiquettes
Telecallers do 40% of the work in a sale as they start with a call
and try to convince to have a word with a random person.
Convincing customer over the call is not an easy job, Great job
is being done byTelecallers.Though they miss some little
points which can help them to improve the losing sale. Here
are few pointers which will surely help you in Effective
Telecalling and will also Improve your sales.
Focus
If you feel distracted while making a call close your eyes so that you can only see or focus on the
things which your client is asking for or you are telling to your client. You can imagine all the things
and the details which he is referring to as when you have opened eyes you are distracted by all the
things which are going around while you are on the call.
Posture
Try to sit straight while you are making a call so that your diaphragm does get
enough air to speak. If your posture is low or your head is at lower direction then
your call will always be at the lazy voice which no one likes while talking to the
other person. Energy level comes with good posture.
Call with a Smile
Always call with a smile on your face. It will give you a positive vibe while talking
to your client as everyone wants to talk to someone who has a positive vibe and
can greet them with a smile on their face. Before making a call always take a
deep breath. It helps your body to function with full energy.
Rest
Take a 2 minute gap while you make another call as it takes some time to get out of the
past call experience. With every call there comes a new customer and different state of
mindset, behavior, query, so taking a break will surely help.
Don’t Be SHY
Do not ever think that the customer will say NO to you because NO is always at the first end MAY BE is the
second thing andYES is the third milestone in sales. You should always take it as No is the answer he is
going to give me but I should try, maybe he would be interested and saysYES to you for the deal. This can
always work while you follow up or to convey any negative message to the customer. Never hesitate while
you give any information over the call. He can't look your face over the call nor you can.
Patience
You should have patience while you are on the call and always listen to what the other person is trying to
say. There can be situation when you are telling something to the customer and he/she would be
interested in some other thing, So at that time whole your efforts are wasted which you have applied
while you were with the customer over the call. Patience is very important while you are meeting the
customer face to face as they can be rude at times but you have to remember that they are the one who
can get you business.
HumanTouch
Try to give a human touch while you are on the call as everyone is tired of listening to robotic lines and
language.Try to relate with customer and do not ever be rude as again we want them and they have many
choice in the market to go through. If you are not first then you are last. Before talking about the business
with the existing customers try to be little friendly to make them feel comfortable as if you will straight
away come to business point then customers will not be able to make a bond with you and he will also take
you as a client but not as a friend. Being little friendly will help you more to convey your message to the
customer
Options
Always provide options to the customers which are relevant and within the needs of the
customers. If you try to open with the options which are not what customer requires
then customer will be least interested with your deal.
GainTrust
Whenever customer invest such a big amount amount of money he needs a trustworthy person.Without
trust even you will not spend a single penny in anyone as every rupee matters for everyone. Never make false
commitment to any customer as false commitment directs you to breaking of trust. To gain trust you have to
show how big the company is and how many customers we are dealing with on daily basis and in the past.
Tenure of the company or show them the presentation of the company.Tell them that we are just not for sale
but we are with you till the end when you get possession so that you are satisfied with what you have
purchased.
References
Always ask for any reference at the end of the call even if customer says not
interested. If they are not interested their friend or any relative might be and can give
good business to us.
