case of Sheena Bora. The newspaper headlines and the television discussions

taken back to Mumbai jail from JJ Hospital where she was admitted on
October 2 after she fell unconscious in her barrack. And she completely
denied taking any pills, and said that her health deteriorated because of her

Sheena Bora went missing three years ago. Bora, who was 22 years old then,
was living and working in Mumbai, and she was introduced as Indrani’s sister
to everyone. Whereas, she was her daughter in reality.
Sheena mysteriously went missing but no complaint was registered by
Indrani, in fact, people who enquired by her, were told that she had moved
abroad for higher studies. And she was last seen with Indrani, her driver
Shyam and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna.
Media reports then revealed the claims by Peter Mukerjea that Sheena was
in a relationship with Rahul Mukerjea, who is in fact, Indrani’s step-son and
Sheena’s step-brother. And this relationship was not approved by Indrani,
but they continued to date each other.
Rahul Mukerjea tried to find Sheena after she went missing in 2012 but all
in vain.

An anonymous call told Mumbai police about Sheena’s disappearance. The police go t
active and started to investigate the case and soon they knew that things were
murky in there. To make sure that the culprits are not aware about the
investigations, they kept things low.
After finding out that Shyam Rai often visited Raigad, the police tightened its
security around him and arrested him on August 21 in an illegal arms case but also
questioned him about Sheena Bora.
He finally gave in to the police investigation and disclosed that Indrani Mukerjea
and Sanjeev Khanna were involved in the murder. And that they strangled Sheena
and burnt her body. Indrani and Shyam Rai even conducted a recce of the place a
day before the murder.
Police was quick to recall that a charred body was found during the same time in
Raigad. However, it was difficult to identify the body but they managed some
evidence to prove that it was in fact Sheena’s body.

Indrani Mukerjea was picked from her house in Worli and was
taken to Khar Police Station for questioning. After denying
the allegations initially, she finally gave in after she was made
to testify with her driver. After this, Sanjeev Khanna was
also arrested by the police, they picked him up from Alipore,
Kolkata.
Indrani, also once told the police that while she hated her
daughter, it was her ex-husband Sanjee who was responsible
for her death. And both of them blamed each other for a
while during the interrogation.
