According to the study "Fighting Hunger", the number of client visits to food banks in Toronto reached
997,000in March2010.
This petitionis an attemptto amelioratechild hungerin Canada.The over 12,000voters
who havesignedour petitionrequestParliament'sconsiderationof their prayerfor Parliament's
support.The prevalenceandpervasivenessof child hungerin Canada,which violates
fundamentalhumanrights, is disappointingto all concernedcrtizens.We, asconcernedcitizens,
believethat Canadahasthe motivation andability to rise to the challenge.
