Experience
Informatica LLC UX Visual Design Manager 6.2008 - Present
As the UX Visual Design Manager, I manage all efforts to provide visual solutions for all of Informatica’s
enterprise software products. Working within the UX team, I develop and communicate visual design
goals, guidelines, and specifications across all products. There is a high emphasis on user-centered
design. I work closely with the UX architects and designers, the product management and product
development teams so the visual design team can deliver the highest quality visual solutions which
enable users to easily understand product functions while reinforcing the Informatica brand. I am also
responsible for facilitating design workshops as well as building a complete pattern library and toolkits
by which the large team of designers can build with. Informatica products are a wide range of web-
based applications, tablet applications and mobile apps, which help organizations manage data. In the
past few years, the UX team has pushed the design of these products with innovative concepts to reach
a wider user base and provide optimal usability. I manage a team of 3 visual designers, multiple
contractors within the UX team of 33 which is located across 4 countries. I travel to our Bangalore, India
office at least once a year to connect with our design and development teams.
Sonopia Corporation Creative Director 6.2006 - 2.2008
Oversaw creative development for all Sonopia partner marketing initiatives and corporate communi-
cations including print and online direct marketing, event marketing, Web site design, packaging and
the out-of-box experience. Worked with marketing and product team to launch the Sonopia online
product in April 2007. Developed and maintained Sonopia brand and partner brands. Developed and
managed creative services processes, managed budgets and created and managed project time lines.
Lead product and marketing brainstorms. Developed relationships with and managed ad agencies and
freelancers. Worked closely with marketing team and product team to develop new products and tools.

Owned and operated design consultancy with a number of clients whose projects ranged from
interactive to print, including web site design, information architecture, illustration, logo development,
brand development, advertising and invitation design. Responsible for managing contract/freelance
employees, relationships, budgets and time lines.

Develop and maintain AgileTV brand and sub-brands; Hire and manage freelance designers, writers
and creative agencies; Develop design direction for user experience of the AgileTV product; Develop
strategies for all marketing materials, product design and out-of-box experience; Document and
publish design standards and guidelines for use inside the company and with strategic partners;

team which lead to the development of various innovative voice/screen interactions which we patented.

Joining EA.com at it’s inception, I was a leader in architect, designing and building the largest online
gaming web site of the time. I develop and maintain EA.com brand standards; Manage and mentor
a group of 3 art directors and 6 designers; Develop visual design strategies for EA.com and co-branded
partners; Oversee visual concepts, design and graphic production for all aspects of EA.com; Develop
and maintain site wide visual standards and guidelines; Manage design process and project timelines.
