Group 1: Learner Engagement Scenario*
Aim:
• Support Year 1 students’ transition to Higher Education.
Challenge:
• Develop a learner engagement strategy that provides a
supportive learning environment for students in their transition
to Higher Education.
Towards the end of this workshop a volunteer from each group will be
requested to briefly share key group outputs and/or reflections (Note:
there will only be a few minutes available for each group).

Aim:
• Improve feedback methods among Year 2 students. Provide
opportunities for students to respond to feedback (individual &
group-based).
Challenge:
• Develop an integrated assessment and feedback strategy
making use of tutor, peer and self-assessment.

Aim:
• Enable flexible learning opportunities for students during work
placement.

• Develop an information skills strategy that supports students
undertaking coursework (e.g. placement report) on work
placement.

supports curriculum innovations and other initiatives designed
to increase the employability of graduates and promote the
development of life-long learners.
