Group 1: Learner Engagement Scenario*

Aim:
   •   Support Year 1 students’ transition to Higher Education.

Challenge:
  • Develop a learner engagement strategy that provides a
     supportive learning environment for students in their transition
     to Higher Education.

Towards the end of this workshop a volunteer from each group will be
requested to briefly share key group outputs and/or reflections (Note:
there will only be a few minutes available for each group).

Groups may wish to use the spaces provided below to make some notes:

   •   Improve feedback methods among Year 2 students. Provide
       opportunities for students to respond to feedback (individual &
       group-based).

Challenge:
  • Develop an integrated assessment and feedback strategy
     making use of tutor, peer and self-assessment.

Towards the end of this workshop a volunteer from each group will be requested
to briefly share key group outputs and/or reflections (Note: there will only be a
few minutes available for each group).

Aim:
   •   Enable flexible learning opportunities for students during work
       placement.

Challenge:
  • Develop an information skills strategy that supports students
     undertaking coursework (e.g. placement report) on work
     placement.

Towards the end of this workshop a volunteer from each group will be requested
to briefly share key group outputs and/or reflections (Note: there will only be a
few minutes available for each group).

     supports curriculum innovations and other initiatives designed
     to increase the employability of graduates and promote the
     development of life-long learners.

to briefly share key group outputs and/or reflections (Note: there will only be a

     research.
