And Other Spaces.
The Design Of Commercial Interiors Included Important Issues –
Sustainable Design, Security And Safety, Licensing, Ethics In The
Profession, And Professional Growth.
Commercial Design Is The Design Of Any Facility That Serves Business
Purposes.
While Studying Anthropometric And Ergonomics, I Learnt About The
Standard Human Body Dimension. I Have Considered All These Points In
The Anthropometrics And Ergonomics Space That Was Assigned To Me.

Interior Design Is All About Space And People. To Make A Building
Architecturally Successful, The Link Between Space And Inhabitants Of
That Space Is Very Important . No Space Can Be Designed Without The
Information Of Human Dimensions. The Link Has To Be Established In May
Ways – Physical, Psychological, Emotional And Much More. This Scientific
Study Of Human Dimension Relating To Individuals And Group Is Called
“Anthropometry” And The Application Of Anthropometric Data May Look
Very Direct And Simple.
The Simple Methodology For Anthropometrics Study Related To
Architecture And Interior Design

In An Interior Environment Such As Retail Space, Where Customer
Convince And Comfort Are A Matter Of Corporate Policy, The
Responsiveness Of The Design To Human Dimension And Body Sixe Is
Extremely Critical. The Interface Between The User And The Various
Types Of Sales Counter And Shelf Displays.
Proper Visibility Of Displays Both From Within And From Without Is Also
Crucial To The Successful Design Of A Retail Space. In This Regard, The Eye
Height Of The Small And Larger Viewer And The Geometric Implication Of
Human Vision Must Be Accommodated.
The Anthropometric Measurements Of Significant Importance Are
Indicated In The Above Matrix.
RECEPTION SPACES
The Drawings On The Following Pages Examine The Relationship Of
Human Dimension To The Design Of Reception Spaces. The Three Key
Areas Of Concern Include Visitor Seating, The Reception Desk, And The
Location Of Graphics Or Corporate Identification. Of Particular
Importance Is The Design To The Reception Desk In Terms Of Its
Responsiveness To The Anthropometric Requirements To Be Seated
Receptionist And The Standing Visitor Within The Context Of A High
Counter – Type Arrangement And A Conventional Desk Arrangement.
The Depth Of The Work Surface Should Accommodate The Thumb Tip
Reach Measurements Of The User Of Smaller Body Size So That Package
And Correspondence Can Be Exchanged.
The Key Anthropometric Measurements Are Indicate In The Above
Matrix.

The Stylist And The Nature Of The Body Size, Both In Terms Of The
Customer And The Stylist And The Nature Of The Activity Involved, It Is
Virtually Impossible To Accommodate The Majority Of People Without
Some Degree Of Adjustability To Compensate For The Great Variability In
Body Size. The Range Of Adjustment Possible In Most Standard Chairs On

Eating Has Always Been A Sociable Event And Restaurant Serves This
Purpose Very Well. Restaurant Is A Business Of Preparing & Serving Food
In Exchange Of Money. Restaurants Have Always Played An Essential Role
In The Business, Social And Intellectual Life Of Today’s Society. It Provides
A Perfect Location For All Celebrations Or Social Gatherings.
Restaurants Can Be Of Self Service, Road-side Dhaba, A-la-carte And The
Third Places Like The Coffee Shops, Juice Centers, Ice-cream Parlors And
Many More.
These Different Types Of Restaurants May Vary With Their Working But
Their Purpose Is Same I.E., Serving People So That They Can Take Out
Time From Their Hectic Lives & Spend A Quality Time.
People Enjoy Sitting Down In A Nice Comfortable And Pleasant
Surrounding Of A Restaurant And Dinning On Good Quality Food, Leaving
Behind The Hustle And Bustle Of Daily Life.
Restaurants Have Always Been A Place Where People Spend Leisure Time
& Money. As Living Has Gotten More Hectic, With So Much Of Interest
And Money Riding On Food, It Is Extremely Important For A Restaurant To
Develop New Trends That Positively Impact Customers.

The Design Of Commercial Interiors Included Important Issues – Sustainable Design, Security And Safety, Licensing, Ethics In The Profession, And Professional Growth. Commercial Design Is The Design Of Any Facility That Serves Business Purposes. While Studying Anthropometric And Ergonomics, I Learnt About The Standard Human Body Dimension. I Have Considered All These Points In The Anthropometrics And Ergonomics Space That Was Assigned To Me.

To Make A Building Architecturally Successful, The Link Between Space And Inhabitants Of That Space Is Very Important . No Space Can Be Designed Without The Information Of Human Dimensions. The Link Has To Be Established In May Ways – Physical, Psychological, Emotional And Much More. This Scientific Study Of Human Dimension Relating To Individuals And Group Is Called “Anthropometry” And The Application Of Anthropometric Data May Look Very Direct And Simple. The Simple Methodology For Anthropometrics Study Related To Architecture And Interior Design

Proper Visibility Of Displays Both From Within And From Without Is Also Crucial To The Successful Design Of A Retail Space. In This Regard, The Eye Height Of The Small And Larger Viewer And The Geometric Implication Of Human Vision Must Be Accommodated. Restaurants Have Always Played An Essential Role In The Business, Social And Intellectual Life Of Today’s Society. It Provides A Perfect Location For All Celebrations Or Social Gatherings. Restaurants Can Be Of Self Service, Road-side Dhaba, A-la-carte And The Third Places Like The Coffee Shops, Juice Centers, Ice-cream Parlors And Many More. These Different Types Of Restaurants May Vary With Their Working But Their Purpose Is Same I.E., Serving People So That They Can Take Out Time From Their Hectic Lives & Spend A Quality Time. People Enjoy Sitting Down In A Nice Comfortable And Pleasant Surrounding Of A Restaurant And Dinning On Good Quality Food, Leaving Behind The Hustle And Bustle Of Daily Life. Restaurants Have Always Been A Place Where People Spend Leisure Time & Money. As Living Has Gotten More Hectic, With So Much Of Interest And Money Riding On Food, It Is Extremely Important For A Restaurant To Develop New Trends That Positively Impact Customers.
