Karnataka is a state inflated with few of the most of the pilgrimages like Forts & Palaces and
Divine temples in India. Karnataka adds up as an experience to remember for a lifetime. The

Mysore Palace:

Mysore palace is now one of the most famed tourist attractions in India after Taj Mahal with
more than 2.7 million visitors. Mysore palace, designed by a famous English architect, the
Saracenic style Mysore Palace was built in place of an existing palace that was burnt down in
1897. The enchanting Mysore Palace represents a fine blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural
styles.The visitors are allowed to visit the palace, but they are not allowed to take photographs
inside the palace. Mysore palace is one of the most stunning atrraction among the Indian

Gol Gumbaz:

The Gol Gumbaz is located at Bijapur, Karnataka. It is the crypt of Mohammad adib Shah, the
King of Bijapur. The tomb of his wife and daughter were also placed here.The structure of the
tomb is of quare-shaped, which is crowned by a huge dome. It is constructed in Islamic
architecture style and its height ends upto 60 metres. This magnificent dome is the second
largest one in the world.

Hampi Ruins:

Hampi, as it is popularly known today was the medieval capital of the Hindu empire
Vijayanagara (the City of Victory). Hampi in the Karnataka state of India is listed as one of the
UNESCO World Heritage Sites and also the major Indian historical places. Hampi ruin is spread
over a large area. That is more than 25 sq.km or 10 sq.miles. Hampi is charismatic even in its
ruined state. It attracts thousands of tourists and pilgrims every year. Vast stretches of boulder-
strewn hills make the backdrop of Hampi unique. Hampi Ruins are the most exceptional place
among Indian historical places of Karnataka.

Fort of Seven Rounds:
Fort of Seven Rounds is located in the city of Chitradurga. The martial miracle that it is, has 19
gateways and 38 postern entrances, of which the fourth is certainly the best. There is a cave
temple to the west of the wall is worth visiting.

Lotus Palace:

Of the non-religious buildings in Hampi, probably the most photogenic is the Lotus Mahal. This
elegant two-storeyed marquee is located in the Zenana enclosure. This palace is a wonderful
fusion of the Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture which are unlike from the awesome
splendors of Hampi's temples.

Badami Caves:

Badami Caves are situated in the northern side of Karnataka. The place is famous for the
magnificent rock cut cave temples. There are in all four cave temples of which two are devoted
to Lord Vishnu, one to Lord Shiva and the fourth one is a Jain temple. The most significant part
of historical heritage at Badami cave temples are inscriptions in old Kannada script.

Gulbarga Fort:

This is the most wonderful and charming monument in Gulbarga, Karnataka. This grand fort
was built by the ruler of Gulbarga, who was Raja Gulchand. The fort itself has 15 towers. Inside
the fort you can find the fort premises, ancient temples, and outstanding mosques. Large
buildings, carriages and stable, are found within the fort premises. You will also see big and
spacious courtyards, corridors and halls.

Tipu's Fort :

In Bangalore lies the leftovers of Tipu's Fort - a silent evidence of Tipu's battle against British
regime. The fort was constructed during 1781-179 and was the summer dwelling of Tipu
Sultan. It is a two-storied wooden structure, carved out of Teakwood with decked pillars,
concave arches and balconies. Today the fort house is a museum adorned with earliest artifact
of Hyder-Tipu regime.
