2. TITLE The Colosseum (also known as the Flavian amphiteatre) was ordered to be built by Emperor Flavius but he never saw it completed because it took over 100 years! When he ordered for it to be built he was in a bit of a dilema because there where only 2 suitable places for it to be built. One already had a temple to Jupiter and another was under a lake. In a historical feat they drained the water of the lake into a artificial lake waiting nearby. Later on after it was finished Gauls invaded and destroyed some of the Colosseum thus stopping the games once and for all. An earthquake destroyed another part of it.

5. BACK Bestiarii where another one of the gladiators fought in the Colosseum. They didn’t fight gladiators though, they fought exotic beasts and animals. They used a spear or knife to kill animals imported from other countrys they wore nothing except a loin cloth
6. Dimachaeri were gladiators that fought with two swords. They used: Helmets Two swords ( Gladius) Greaves They were probably the most powerful but vulnerable gladiators that ever fought BACK
7. BACK Retarii were one of the more advantaged gladiators as they could trap and then kill. This is what they used Arm protector topped with high shoulder protector. Large net Trident Dagger
