Abstract: With the rapid development of society, it is clear that the English language has
become more dominant around the world. English in the present time is a global
language because it helps us to communicate with people who are from different
countries. However, how to learn the English with happiness becomes a big problem for
Chinese students. So today this paper will talk about the importance and the students
conditions of English-learning in China as well as how to learn and teach English
happily. Hope it can help the teachers teach English effectively, and students learn
English with happiness.

摘 要:随着社会的迅速发展,英语在世界各国的地位变得越来越
重要,现在英语已成为一门全球性语言。英语能让我们和来自
各国的人们有效地交流与沟通. 然而,如今对于中国学生来说,
如何快乐地学习英语是个大问题。这篇论文是谈论英语的重要
性及中国学生的英语学习现状,同时主要是介绍老师正确教
英语的方法以及学生英语学习的诀窍,并能从英语学习过程
中获得乐趣。希望它能对那些英语老师和英语学习者有所帮助

How to Learn English Happily

Ⅰ. Introduction to the importance of English-learning.
With the quick development of economic globalization, the English language is
playing a role all over the world. English is often used as a native language by over
three hundred million people in the United States, Britain, Australia, and Canada. But
as a second language, English is often necessary for official business, education,
information and other activities, like China.
With the gradual opening to the outside world, China has entered into many organizations,
including the WTO, APEC, WHO, UN, China has played an important role in the connection with
the world today. And English helps our country to keep in step with the tide of the times, so we
often need to cooperate with other countries in technologic, educational, scientific and economic
aspects. Therefore, People should know its importance and the necessity of learning
English.
Fortunately, the government has realized the importance of English-learning and introduced
the English course from primary school to college, making much investment in English education.
In addition, as the development of the people’s living standards, many parents encourage their
children to go abroad in order to learn English. Students are willing to take additional classes to
learn English.
In conclusion, English is the first international communication language in the world. The
learners in China should pay more attention to learn English, if they want to keep with the
development of the world.
Ⅱ.Introduction to the Chinese students conditions of English-learning.
As the English language has been used in various kinds of fields in the 21century, the
government in China has also reformed the English education system, from the Education
Examination System to the Quality Education System. However, owing to the fact that our
English education began much later than many countries and paid insufficient attention to the
English education in past decades, some teachers often teach English by the traditional ways, plus
the poor equipment, so students can’t learn English happily.
Consequently, many students in recent years still hold on to the idea that learning English is
merely for passing the English exams, particularly in middle school or high school or in college
and universities. Because some teachers just teach some methods for exams to their students by
traditional ways and they are much more concerned about the scores or rankings rather than the
overall development of English. For instance, in English class they teach the English knowledge
fast. But all of this knowledge originates from the text books, even though those books have
changed a lot they only ask their students to remember words or sentences again and again, and
then soon write some important words that are relevant to the exam on the blackboard. Then they
give some homework to English learners. Thus the students have to write down all of them and try
every means to memorize the words or paragraphs and finish their homework in time.
Unfortunately, many of them can’t catch up with the teaching speed, a few students feel confused
about learning English and some think it is very difficult for them to learn English. As a result,
some poor English learners give up eventually and lose interest in learning English.
In college or universities, a large number of students are learning English only for these
certifications. Most of them hope to pass some necessary exams, such as CET4, CET6, TEM4,
and TEM8. Moreover, with the English vocabulary and grammar becoming much harder than
ever, it results in a great many of students always feeling that it is difficult to learn English and
they can’t fully understand the English knowledge, which leads the students unwilling to answer
or participate in the activities in class and they may even hate the English learning. In addition,
without the suitable English learning guidelines and the right ways to learn English, many teachers
or students overemphasize the written English but ignore the comprehensive English level. Today
many a student can only pass some variety of exams but is unable to speak English or talk with a
foreigner. Although they have a good English vocabulary, when they encounter foreigners, most of
them are too shy or afraid to communicate with them. At present, it is the common knowledge that
the students in China are not good at English learning, though many Chinese students wish to
learn English happily. This is the most troublesome question among the Chinese learners.
Next I will talk about how to learn English happily via some good teaching methods and
learning ways.
Ⅲ. Talking about both the teachers and students respectively how to teach or
learn English with happiness.
Here, I present three main methods to teach English with happiness
A. Teachers how to teach English happily.
1. Correct the wrong perception of learning English
There are some incorrect opinions on English learning, which lead to a wrong
way to study English. Firstly, influenced by the traditional system, most students
learning English depend on their teachers. They believe teachers are always right and
learn most of their knowledge from their teachers. In addition, they scarcely point
out the mistakes that their teachers made. To a large extent, these learners lack
initiative in learning English. When leaving their teachers, they can’t learn English
by their own way and may even lose their heart to learn. Secondly, the students
maintain that their purpose in learning English is passing the exams or gaining
certifications. Therefore, middle or high school students learn English under much
pressure for their marks. They usually worry about their scores and say “score comes
first”. What’s even worse, Teachers only teach how to deal with the English exam.
Today a great number of students in college are crazy about the certification and do
some English written practice all day. Just a few students study English for
mastering it and improving the comprehensive English level.
Considering the negative influences mentioned above, we can learn that those
teachers should change their basic ideas about English teaching. For one thing, the
teachers in school had better emphasize the autonomous English learning, not merely
caring about the scores or rankings the students received. Teachers need to help
students to find proper ways to learn English happily and create a favorable
atmosphere for English learning. For another, the teachers in college or universities
should strengthen the five basic English learning abilities other than those
certifications. We agree with the opinion that the certifications are important before
getting into a company, but if you don’t have any basic English abilities you will be
fired one day. At last, students should know that an initiative attitude to learn English
is essential and indispensable.
Only both the teachers and the students change the wrong idea of teaching or
learning English can help the learners to be interested in English and learn English
happily.
2. Organize the English activities to motivate English-learning interests
It is natural that interest is the positive factor of learning English. Interest is also
the active power of English learning, and runs through the whole learning process. So
in the English education, teachers should also pay more attention to the English
practice and maintain the students’ interest in English learning.
With regard to developing interests in English learning, the best way is to
organize some English activities both in class and after class to create the English
learning atmosphere. On the one hand, teachers can play some small games in class to
animate the atmosphere. For instance, like Chinese string up puzzle game, a drinking-
game, a guess words or imitate game and the like.
Now let me talk a game in detail. The interesting game is called the imitate
game, before finishing a lesson the teacher has the opportunity to play such game.
First teachers choose a paragraph and ask the students to imitate the characters. If
there are three characters, choose three students to play this show. The students should
simulate lovely, such as the voice, the mood, and the manner in this paragraph. And
they act as if they are the real leading character. When they make a little progress,
praised words can be given to them, such as, “ Good job”, “Well done”, “Wonderful.”,
or give big hands for them. They will feel confident and will make greater effort in it.
To some degree, teachers can also correct students’ mistakes on the English
pronunciation or grammar and help the class become more interesting. On the other
hand, the school or the college should organize some English competition activities.
Take myself for example, in my college, it has the oral English contest, English
dubbing contest, English composition contest, and English songs competition. I have
taken an active part in those competitions. I got much fun through them and let me
know the disadvantages in my English learning methods.
In a word, organizing some games in class and some contests after class to create
the atmosphere of learning English and stimulate the students’ English-learning
interests.
3. How to use the computer to teach English in class.
Today the younger learn English at the beginning of primary school, but students
in young age are poor in learning by themselves. So they are confused about how to
learn English happily. So it is teachers’ responsibility to give effective classes.
However, the traditional teaching way that only follows the text books to teach
English is out of date. Now the English teachers should try to organize a class with
the multi-media equipment, such as the computer, video, shadow, lantern slide, but for
today, the most popular media is named computer.
As a result of the rapid development of the technology, today many teachers
choose to take advantage of the computer to teach English, but it’s hard to see the
effect. So, how to make a class design with the computer is a problem. Let’s take a
lesson as an example, when teaching the weather symbols in school, first the teacher
can collect some pictures or information or some sounds about different weathers
from the internet, but needn’t draw the symbols by themselves. So now the teacher
can use the Microsoft Power Point to show the weather signs, like the wind, rain,
snow, and sunny, cloudy, while saying some characteristics before those weather signs
come and play the sound. When showing the PPT, at the same time, the teacher
should click the relative words about weather signs and ask the students to read after
the teacher and practice with classmates. After showing these the teacher can require
the students make a short English dialogue to practice with their classmates, or to
discuss something else about the weather signs they know. These methods will help
students to memorize the words with interest and have some creative ideas. Just
remember, don’t just display the PPT and keep teaching on your own, not giving the
students any choice to discuss or practice in English.
Through this way, it can save much time for the teachers and students. What’s
more, those beautiful pictures, lovely and interesting weather signs can draw much
attention to the students, and they will feel relaxed in class and be willing to learn and
master those words quickly and motivate their interest in English learning and
improve the class effect.
Here, I present three main methods to learn English happily.
B. Students how to learn English.
1. Have the right idea of learning English and have confidence in yourself.
From the primary school, the students are required to learn English which is a
compulsory course, but they really don’t know what the purpose is. When in middle
or in high school, students study English just for getting an excellent score and
passing the exam. For college or universities students, plenty of students learn English
only for the certification or finding a good job. When they can’t achieve those goals,
they feel disappointed and lose their interest and confidence in English learning.
Gradually they regard English learning as a burden.
But all of them get the wrong perception of learning English, thinking that exams,
certifications are the direct reason to learn English. But I think the most vital thing is
to realize our dream or fulfill our real value in the world. When learning English, we
face lots of troubles: for example, poor in remembering words or listening and reading
skills, weak in oral English. Meeting those issues, I believe that the students have no
choice but to keep learning and have more confidence in the process of learning
English. It is well-known that confidence can make one successful. Similarly, if
students have confidence, they will be successful in English learning. More
confidence and firm determination are needed. Once students have confidence, they
can overcome many difficulties and devote themselves to learning English.
Therefore, at the first stage of learning English, students should have a realistic
goal and always have confidence in themselves on the way of learning English.
2. Have good habits of learning English and motive the interest of English-learning
As the proverb says: “Habit is the second nature”. It is certain that a good habit
of learning English is very necessary. And it could develop the interest in English
learning eventually. But habit is formed gradually in the students’ practice. First of all,
it will take some time and hard work to form good habits, but they will be a great help
in learning English with happiness. Why do so many students feel it more and more
difficult to learn English? Probably, the reason is that they have not yet formed good
habits. So, how to form good habits?
Firstly, the teachers should help them to cultivate good habits. Students should be
asked to do more English listening, speaking, reading, writing everyday. Teachers
should encourage students to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes when
students are speaking out their opinions. Secondly, students need make a to-do list on
English. For example, students should make a habit that every morning from 7:00 am.
to 7:30 am., to read some English passages or practice listening English. From 12:30
p.m. to 1:00 p.m. they are supposed to have a good rest. From 8:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.,
they should practice their oral English or write some English essays. Thirdly,
persistence and determination is the key to cultivate the good English learning habits.
Hence if students have formed the good habits of English-learning, they will
gradually realize that English is easier than ever thought, and become interested in
learning English. Moreover, they are able to learn English in dependence and have the
initiative attitude to learn English with delight.
3. Know how to use the internet to learn English with happiness.
Today the internet has widely sped all over the world. Nevertheless, how to
make good use of the internet for learning English is a troublesome thing. Indeed,
through the internet, students can get much research done. Only a few English
learners know how to find some useful information to help them learn English. So let
me discuss how to use the internet to learn English happily.
To start with, students can download some audio/video to the computer or MP3,
MP4 from BBC, CNN, and VOA, TED, which talk about the events happening in
different countries and fields around the world, including the entertainment,
economic, technology, humorous stories, and history and so on. The internet helps
students by enabling them to know more about the issues in the world and enlarge
their knowledge, but also can get lots of happiness in the process of listening them.
And can help them improve the English listening skills. In addition, being weak in
oral English must be the most serious problem for Chinese students. So how do we
deal with this big problem? For one thing, they can listen to the native speakers as
much as possible. The way is downloading some English movies with subtitles. The
English learners are supposed to imitate the behaviors that the actors do in films. Not
only can it expand the vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors, but
also it is an effective way to stimulate the English-learning interest. So students can
learn the English with happiness. For another, students need to grasp every chance to
talk with foreigners or English teachers. Students can use the Skype or QQ
international to meet some foreigners and chat with them. I believe those methods can
get much delight during studying English.
Internet is a crucial tool to learn English, and if students can make good use of it
and follow what we have talked about above, students will be interested in English
and learn English with happiness.
Ⅳ. Conclusion
How to learn English happily? The most important thing is having the right way
to learn English. As for students, having some interests in English-learning is
necessary. As an old saying goes: Interest is the best teacher.
Therefore, if the English learners do really want to master English well, both the
teachers and students need to work together. For teachers, they need correct the wrong
idea of teaching English and design the wonderful English class. As they try to adopt
more useful and new teaching methods to enliven the class, guide students to maintain
the interest and happiness of learning English. What’s more, teachers are able to assist
students to create an English learning atmosphere by organizing interesting activities
or giving wonderful lessons. Those ways enable the teachers to teach with much fun
and make the students learn the English happily. For students, firstly, they should
know the positive purpose and the initiative attitude to learn English and cultivate and
build their interests and determination of learning English. On the other hand, students
should gradually cultivate good habits of learning English and get right means to learn
English step by step. Then they will feel English is not hard and learn it with
happiness.
In closing, all the teachers and students must spare no effort to work hard
together in the process of teaching and learning English. To heighten the effect in
English teaching and English learning in class and after class so as to let the students
learn English happily.

  • 4. How to Learn English Happily 如何使英语学习成为一种乐趣 Ⅰ. Introduction to the importance of English-learning. With the quick development of economic globalization, the English language is playing a role all over the world. English is often used as a native language by over three hundred million people in the United States, Britain, Australia, and Canada. But as a second language, English is often necessary for official business, education, information and other activities, like China. With the gradual opening to the outside world, China has entered into many organizations, including the WTO, APEC, WHO, UN, China has played an important role in the connection with the world today. And English helps our country to keep in step with the tide of the times, so we often need to cooperate with other countries in technologic, educational, scientific and economic aspects. Therefore, People should know its importance and the necessity of learning English. Fortunately, the government has realized the importance of English-learning and introduced the English course from primary school to college, making much investment in English education. In addition, as the development of the people’s living standards, many parents encourage their children to go abroad in order to learn English. Students are willing to take additional classes to learn English. In conclusion, English is the first international communication language in the world. The learners in China should pay more attention to learn English, if they want to keep with the development of the world. Ⅱ.Introduction to the Chinese students conditions of English-learning.

As the English language has been used in various kinds of fields in the 21century, the government in China has also reformed the English education system, from the Education Examination System to the Quality Education System. However, owing to the fact that our English education began much later than many countries and paid insufficient attention to the English education in past decades, some teachers often teach English by the traditional ways, plus the poor equipment, so students can’t learn English happily. Consequently, many students in recent years still hold on to the idea that learning English is merely for passing the English exams, particularly in middle school or high school or in college and universities. Because some teachers just teach some methods for exams to their students by traditional ways and they are much more concerned about the scores or rankings rather than the overall development of English. For instance, in English class they teach the English knowledge fast. But all of this knowledge originates from the text books, even though those books have changed a lot they only ask their students to remember words or sentences again and again, and then soon write some important words that are relevant to the exam on the blackboard. Then they give some homework to English learners. Thus the students have to write down all of them and try every means to memorize the words or paragraphs and finish their homework in time. Unfortunately, many of them can’t catch up with the teaching speed, a few students feel confused about learning English and some think it is very difficult for them to learn English. As a result, some poor English learners give up eventually and lose interest in learning English. In college or universities, a large number of students are learning English only for these certifications. Most of them hope to pass some necessary exams, such as CET4, CET6, TEM4, and TEM8. Moreover, with the English vocabulary and grammar becoming much harder than ever, it results in a great many of students always feeling that it is difficult to learn English and they can’t fully understand the English knowledge, which leads the students unwilling to answer or participate in the activities in class and they may even hate the English learning. In addition, without the suitable English learning guidelines and the right ways to learn English, many teachers or students overemphasize the written English but ignore the comprehensive English level. Today many a student can only pass some variety of exams but is unable to speak English or talk with a foreigner. Although they have a good English vocabulary, when they encounter foreigners, most of
  • 6. them are too shy or afraid to communicate with them. At present, it is the common knowledge that the students in China are not good at English learning, though many Chinese students wish to learn English happily. This is the most troublesome question among the Chinese learners. Next I will talk about how to learn English happily via some good teaching methods and learning ways. Ⅲ. Talking about both the teachers and students respectively how to teach or learn English with happiness. Here, I present three main methods to teach English with happiness A. Teachers how to teach English happily. 1. Correct the wrong perception of learning English There are some incorrect opinions on English learning, which lead to a wrong way to study English. Firstly, influenced by the traditional system, most students learning English depend on their teachers. They believe teachers are always right and learn most of their knowledge from their teachers. In addition, they scarcely point out the mistakes that their teachers made. To a large extent, these learners lack initiative in learning English. When leaving their teachers, they can’t learn English by their own way and may even lose their heart to learn. Secondly, the students maintain that their purpose in learning English is passing the exams or gaining certifications. Therefore, middle or high school students learn English under much pressure for their marks. They usually worry about their scores and say “score comes first”. What’s even worse, Teachers only teach how to deal with the English exam. Today a great number of students in college are crazy about the certification and do some English written practice all day. Just a few students study English for mastering it and improving the comprehensive English level. Considering the negative influences mentioned above, we can learn that those teachers should change their basic ideas about English teaching. For one thing, the teachers in school had better emphasize the autonomous English learning, not merely caring about the scores or rankings the students received. Teachers need to help students to find proper ways to learn English happily and create a favorable
  • 7. atmosphere for English learning. For another, the teachers in college or universities should strengthen the five basic English learning abilities other than those certifications. We agree with the opinion that the certifications are important before getting into a company, but if you don’t have any basic English abilities you will be fired one day. At last, students should know that an initiative attitude to learn English is essential and indispensable. Only both the teachers and the students change the wrong idea of teaching or learning English can help the learners to be interested in English and learn English happily. 2. Organize the English activities to motivate English-learning interests It is natural that interest is the positive factor of learning English. Interest is also the active power of English learning, and runs through the whole learning process. So in the English education, teachers should also pay more attention to the English practice and maintain the students’ interest in English learning. With regard to developing interests in English learning, the best way is to organize some English activities both in class and after class to create the English learning atmosphere. On the one hand, teachers can play some small games in class to animate the atmosphere. For instance, like Chinese string up puzzle game, a drinking- game, a guess words or imitate game and the like. Now let me talk a game in detail. The interesting game is called the imitate game, before finishing a lesson the teacher has the opportunity to play such game. First teachers choose a paragraph and ask the students to imitate the characters. If there are three characters, choose three students to play this show. The students should simulate lovely, such as the voice, the mood, and the manner in this paragraph. And they act as if they are the real leading character. When they make a little progress, praised words can be given to them, such as, “ Good job”, “Well done”, “Wonderful.”, or give big hands for them. They will feel confident and will make greater effort in it. To some degree, teachers can also correct students’ mistakes on the English pronunciation or grammar and help the class become more interesting. On the other
  • 8. hand, the school or the college should organize some English competition activities. Take myself for example, in my college, it has the oral English contest, English dubbing contest, English composition contest, and English songs competition. I have taken an active part in those competitions. I got much fun through them and let me know the disadvantages in my English learning methods. In a word, organizing some games in class and some contests after class to create the atmosphere of learning English and stimulate the students’ English-learning interests. 3. How to use the computer to teach English in class. Today the younger learn English at the beginning of primary school, but students in young age are poor in learning by themselves. So they are confused about how to learn English happily. So it is teachers’ responsibility to give effective classes. However, the traditional teaching way that only follows the text books to teach English is out of date. Now the English teachers should try to organize a class with the multi-media equipment, such as the computer, video, shadow, lantern slide, but for today, the most popular media is named computer. As a result of the rapid development of the technology, today many teachers choose to take advantage of the computer to teach English, but it’s hard to see the effect. So, how to make a class design with the computer is a problem. Let’s take a lesson as an example, when teaching the weather symbols in school, first the teacher can collect some pictures or information or some sounds about different weathers from the internet, but needn’t draw the symbols by themselves. So now the teacher can use the Microsoft Power Point to show the weather signs, like the wind, rain, snow, and sunny, cloudy, while saying some characteristics before those weather signs come and play the sound. When showing the PPT, at the same time, the teacher should click the relative words about weather signs and ask the students to read after the teacher and practice with classmates. After showing these the teacher can require the students make a short English dialogue to practice with their classmates, or to discuss something else about the weather signs they know. These methods will help
  • 9. students to memorize the words with interest and have some creative ideas. Just remember, don’t just display the PPT and keep teaching on your own, not giving the students any choice to discuss or practice in English. Through this way, it can save much time for the teachers and students. What’s more, those beautiful pictures, lovely and interesting weather signs can draw much attention to the students, and they will feel relaxed in class and be willing to learn and master those words quickly and motivate their interest in English learning and improve the class effect. Here, I present three main methods to learn English happily. B. Students how to learn English. 1. Have the right idea of learning English and have confidence in yourself. From the primary school, the students are required to learn English which is a compulsory course, but they really don’t know what the purpose is. When in middle or in high school, students study English just for getting an excellent score and passing the exam. For college or universities students, plenty of students learn English only for the certification or finding a good job. When they can’t achieve those goals, they feel disappointed and lose their interest and confidence in English learning. Gradually they regard English learning as a burden. But all of them get the wrong perception of learning English, thinking that exams, certifications are the direct reason to learn English. But I think the most vital thing is to realize our dream or fulfill our real value in the world. When learning English, we face lots of troubles: for example, poor in remembering words or listening and reading skills, weak in oral English. Meeting those issues, I believe that the students have no choice but to keep learning and have more confidence in the process of learning English. It is well-known that confidence can make one successful. Similarly, if students have confidence, they will be successful in English learning. More confidence and firm determination are needed. Once students have confidence, they can overcome many difficulties and devote themselves to learning English. Therefore, at the first stage of learning English, students should have a realistic goal and always have confidence in themselves on the way of learning English.
  • 10. 2. Have good habits of learning English and motive the interest of English-learning As the proverb says: “Habit is the second nature”. It is certain that a good habit of learning English is very necessary. And it could develop the interest in English learning eventually. But habit is formed gradually in the students’ practice. First of all, it will take some time and hard work to form good habits, but they will be a great help in learning English with happiness. Why do so many students feel it more and more difficult to learn English? Probably, the reason is that they have not yet formed good habits. So, how to form good habits? Firstly, the teachers should help them to cultivate good habits. Students should be asked to do more English listening, speaking, reading, writing everyday. Teachers should encourage students to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes when students are speaking out their opinions. Secondly, students need make a to-do list on English. For example, students should make a habit that every morning from 7:00 am. to 7:30 am., to read some English passages or practice listening English. From 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. they are supposed to have a good rest. From 8:00 pm. to 9:00 pm., they should practice their oral English or write some English essays. Thirdly, persistence and determination is the key to cultivate the good English learning habits. Hence if students have formed the good habits of English-learning, they will gradually realize that English is easier than ever thought, and become interested in learning English. Moreover, they are able to learn English in dependence and have the initiative attitude to learn English with delight. 3. Know how to use the internet to learn English with happiness. Today the internet has widely sped all over the world. Nevertheless, how to make good use of the internet for learning English is a troublesome thing. Indeed, through the internet, students can get much research done. Only a few English learners know how to find some useful information to help them learn English. So let me discuss how to use the internet to learn English happily. To start with, students can download some audio/video to the computer or MP3, MP4 from BBC, CNN, and VOA, TED, which talk about the events happening in
  • 11. different countries and fields around the world, including the entertainment, economic, technology, humorous stories, and history and so on. The internet helps students by enabling them to know more about the issues in the world and enlarge their knowledge, but also can get lots of happiness in the process of listening them. And can help them improve the English listening skills. In addition, being weak in oral English must be the most serious problem for Chinese students. So how do we deal with this big problem? For one thing, they can listen to the native speakers as much as possible. The way is downloading some English movies with subtitles. The English learners are supposed to imitate the behaviors that the actors do in films. Not only can it expand the vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors, but also it is an effective way to stimulate the English-learning interest. So students can learn the English with happiness. For another, students need to grasp every chance to talk with foreigners or English teachers. Students can use the Skype or QQ international to meet some foreigners and chat with them. I believe those methods can get much delight during studying English. Internet is a crucial tool to learn English, and if students can make good use of it and follow what we have talked about above, students will be interested in English and learn English with happiness.
  • 12. Ⅳ. Conclusion How to learn English happily? The most important thing is having the right way to learn English. As for students, having some interests in English-learning is necessary. As an old saying goes: Interest is the best teacher. Therefore, if the English learners do really want to master English well, both the teachers and students need to work together. For teachers, they need correct the wrong idea of teaching English and design the wonderful English class. As they try to adopt more useful and new teaching methods to enliven the class, guide students to maintain the interest and happiness of learning English. What’s more, teachers are able to assist students to create an English learning atmosphere by organizing interesting activities or giving wonderful lessons. Those ways enable the teachers to teach with much fun and make the students learn the English happily. For students, firstly, they should know the positive purpose and the initiative attitude to learn English and cultivate and build their interests and determination of learning English. On the other hand, students should gradually cultivate good habits of learning English and get right means to learn English step by step. Then they will feel English is not hard and learn it with happiness. In closing, all the teachers and students must spare no effort to work hard together in the process of teaching and learning English. To heighten the effect in English teaching and English learning in class and after class so as to let the students learn English happily.
