 Team process is used to enhance employee communication and participation to utilize and
encourage teamwork.

Manager’s Job
 A manger is the in charge of controlling, directing, and organizing all parts
of the company and employees.
 A manger has power, authority, higher pay, more responsibility, and more
accomplishments

Employee Behavior, Motivation, and
Morale
 Employee behavior :It the way an employee behaves and reacts to a
certain situation or occasion.
 Employee Morale: is the job satisfaction, the feeling of well being, and the
outlook on how they feel about the workplace.
- The better the employee morale, the more productivity increases of the
organization.
 Employee Motivation: the manager motivates employees to perform better
in the workplace.
Ex: paid vacations, benefits, higher pay, incentives
Employee Selection and Training
 Selection is the process of testing applicants and screening for employees
who will be a good fit for the job, this can be done through test in person,
on the internet or even on the phone.
 Training ensures the employees are ready for the job, a properly trained
employee should have a reasonable knowledge of how the company
works and what they do.
 Employees selection and training is a very important process and is the key
factor to what your companies turn over will be, if you select and train
poorly turn over will be high, if you do it well it will be low.
Productivity
 An employee's productivity is effected by multiple things, some examples
are
 Technology, on occasions employees are given technology without being
taught how to correctly use it, this can decrease productivity significantly.
 Other employee's, this is a very common productivity issue, negative
employees hurt the moral of other employees or drag them down.
Health and Safety
 Suicide in the work place is a major concern in today's society, a large
amount of people have had this happen and it is important for companies
to take action setting in regulations to prevent this.
 Workplace bullying is a issue for workplace health as well, management
needs to keep an eye for potential bullies and prevent them from forcing
coworkers into difficult situations.
Effective Communication
 What is effective communication?
Effective communication is defined as verbal speech or other methods of
relaying information.
Effective communication is a key interpersonal skill and learning how we can
improve our communication has many benefits. Communication is a two way
process, so improving communication involves both how we send and receive
messages.
Performance Appraisals
 What are performance appraisals?
A performance appraisal (PA), also referred to as a performance review,
performance evaluation, (career) development discussion, or employee
appraisal is a method by which the job performance of an employee is
documented and evaluated.
 Why are performance appraisals important?
Performance evaluations benefit both employee and employer. It is a time to
provide feedback, recognize quality performance and set expectations for
future job performance.

Employee Selection and Training  Selection is the process of testing applicants and screening for employees who will be a good fit for the job, this can be done through test in person, on the internet or even on the phone.  Training ensures the employees are ready for the job, a properly trained employee should have a reasonable knowledge of how the company works and what they do.  Employees selection and training is a very important process and is the key factor to what your companies turn over will be, if you select and train poorly turn over will be high, if you do it well it will be low.

Productivity  An employee's productivity is effected by multiple things, some examples are  Technology, on occasions employees are given technology without being taught how to correctly use it, this can decrease productivity significantly.  Other employee's, this is a very common productivity issue, negative employees hurt the moral of other employees or drag them down.

Health and Safety  Suicide in the work place is a major concern in today's society, a large amount of people have had this happen and it is important for companies to take action setting in regulations to prevent this.  Workplace bullying is a issue for workplace health as well, management needs to keep an eye for potential bullies and prevent them from forcing coworkers into difficult situations.
  • 9. Effective Communication  What is effective communication? Effective communication is defined as verbal speech or other methods of relaying information. Effective communication is a key interpersonal skill and learning how we can improve our communication has many benefits. Communication is a two way process, so improving communication involves both how we send and receive messages.

A performance appraisal (PA), also referred to as a performance review, performance evaluation, (career) development discussion, or employee appraisal is a method by which the job performance of an employee is documented and evaluated.  Why are performance appraisals important?
