Kramer Ausenco is Project Manager for this ongoing project in Goroka. I am tasked as the project
engineer for this project.
PROJECT: FLOOD ESTIMATION & DESIGN VERICATION OF BOROKO CREEK
CLIENT: NATIONAL AIRPORTS COOPERATION (NAC)
Kramer Ausenco was instructed by The National Airports Cooperation of Papua New Guinea to review
the Flood Analysis Report prepared by Brisbane Stormwater Management for PNG Consultant
Management Resource Solutions (MRS) for possible steel bridge options over Boroko Creek for PEAL
Fuel Cart Access.
I was tasked to do an independent flood estimation of Boroko Creek and produce a report evaluating
the viability of the selected bridge crossing option with respect to environmental risks, flood levels,
traffic volume, the construction and long term maintenance costs of the preferred option by MRS.
PROJECT: MAGISTERIAL SERVICES HEADQUARTERS MASTER PLAN – WAIGANI, NCD.
CLIENT: COX ARCHITECT PTY LTD.
Kramer Ausenco was required to provided services such as Structural, Civil, Traffic, Electrical,
Mechanical, Fire Protection and Hydraulic Services Engineering Consultancy for the Proposed
Magisterial Services Headquarters Master Plan. Undertook a site investigation and prepared a viability
report for the site with respect to civil works/services. I am currently assigned to do all proposed civil
engineering design and layout plans for the master plan.
PROJECT: PANGIA AIRSTRIP UPGRADE – PANGIA, SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS.
CLIENT: WILD CAT DEVELOPMENT.
This project is located in Pangia Station, Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea. The
project site is currently occupied by a decommissioned dirt airstrip approximately 1200m long. The
airstrip is to be upgraded to DHC-8-200 standard sealed runway including stopway, RESA, turning
node, taxiway, apron, NAVAIDS and pavement markings in accordance with the specifications
required for operation of DHC-8-200.
Undertook the conceptual and the detailed design of the airport
The scope of my design included;

PROJECT: ERIMA SERVICE STATION – ERIMA, NCD.
CLIENT: TOTAL OIL ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD.
Kramer Ausenco was responsible for the master plan of the service station. Supervised and assisted
in the stormwater design for the service station.
PROJECT: ELEVALA ROAD – KIUNGA, WESTERN PROVINCE.
CLIENT: WILD CAT GOLDING JOINT VENTURE.
This is an Early Contractor Involvement project undertaken by Wild Cat Golding Joint Venture for
Horizon Oil. Kramer Ausenco was tasked to produce a preliminary road design and earthworks for
this 80km road. I undertook a preliminary design and earthworks calculation for a 30km portion of the
road.
PROJECT: JACKSONS PARADE UPGRADE AND EXTENSION – JACKSONS AIRPORT, NCD.
CLIENT: HEBOU CONSTRUCTIONS (PNG) LTD.
Under this design and construct project, Kramer Ausenco was tasked by the contractor (Hebou) to
redesign the existing Jacksons Airport Road to merge neatly with the Kookaburra Fly Over. The project
involved upgrading the existing two lane road into four lane road and resizing the size of its exiting
roundabouts. The engineering design involved realignment of the existing road alignment including
some areas of greenfield, road geometry and pavement design, stormwater and drainage design and
intersection design. The total length of the road is approximately 1.1km
Undertook all stormwater design and assisted the senior civil design engineers in the geometry design
for the roundabout intersections. The design and construction of this road project is has been
completed
PROJECT: SIX MILE TO BAUTAMA JUNCTION PRELIMINARY DESIGN – MAGI HIGHWAY,
CENTRAL PROV.
CLIENT: HEBOU CONSTRUCTIONS (PNG) LTD.
This is a design and construct project tendered by NCDC. Kramer Ausenco was engaged by Hebou
to produce a preliminary four (4) lane road design and build up of quantities to assist them in their cost
estimation for this portion of Magi Highway.
I assisted the senior civil engineer in the field scoping of existing road & services to road, Road
alignment and Storm-water Drainage assessment. Site investigations include identification of existing
services and utilities, drains and other necessary points of interests.
Carried out the preliminary road design and build up of quantities for the road section at Dogura Bridge
to Bautama Roundabout which is approximately 6km.

PROJECT: CHIEF JUSTICE SENIOR EXECUTIVE RESIDENCE – PORT MORESBY, NCD.
CLIENT: NATIONAL JUDICIAL STAFF SERVICES.
For this project I worked as a site clerk of works at the construction site on behalf of Kramer Ausenco.
My duty involved ensuring that construction drawings, relevant codes, standards and specifications
are being followed. Carryout structural and civil inspections at hold points and reporting all major
design changes to senior engineers and all project management issues to the senior project manager.
Other duties include ensuring safety regulations and practices are being adhered to at all times,
responding to RFIs, attending site meetings, responding to contractor’s queries, ensuring contractor
was performing to standard practices with its construction methods, workmanship and safety.
Verifying contractor’s claims on site prior to paying the contractor.
PROJECT: RAMU 2 FEASIBILITY STUDY.
CLIENT: INDEPENDENT PUBLIC BUSINESS CORPORATION.
Parsons Brinckerhoff (Principal Consultant) and Kramer Ausenco (Sub Consultant) were engaged by
The Independent Public Business Corporation (IPBC) and PNG Energy Developments Ltd (PNG EDL)
to produce a proposal for the PNG Ramu 2 (Yonki) Hydropower Project – Feasibility Study and Social
& Environmental Impact Assessments with respect to the feasibility engineering and environmental
impact of the Ramu 2 Hydro project which is located in Papua New Guinea.
I was assigned as a site/project engineer on a four weeks on-two weeks off rotational basis. My task
involved but was not limited to assisting the senior engineer to;
Provide the Principal Consultant with weekly reports on staffing, observations, progress,
health and safety, environmental and social issues that need to be raised to higher level.
Provide communications coordination and field work coordination
Supervise and ensure efficiency and coordination only and is based on companies performing
the actual works such as drilling, geotech investigation, etc…
PROJECT: POLICE HOUSING BOMANA SUBDIVISION – PORT MORESBY, NCD.
CLIENT: RED SEA HOUSING SERVICES.
Kramer Ausenco was engaged by Red Sea Development to design a subdivision that will cater for
three hundred police houses at Bomana. The engineering design for this 20 hectare subdivision
involved roads, water supply and sewer design and building services.
I was tasked to do the stormwater and drainage design for this project and assisted the senior engineer
to do weekly inspections on the civil works done during construction.
PROJECT: MOREA TOBO AND ASSOCIATED ROADS D&C – PORT MORESBY, NCD.
CLIENT: HEBOU CONSTRUCTIONS (PNG) LTD.
Kramer Ausenco was engaged Hebou Construction for this design and construct project to carry out
a detailed design for the roads along Morea Tobo & Associated Roads between 7 Mile & 6 Mile. The
engineering design involved road alignment and geometry design pavement design, stormwater and
drainage design and intersection design. The total length of the road is approximately 1.1km
Undertook the above designs on Saraga road (0.8km) and Jacksons Parade Roads (0.8km). Both of
the road designs were completed with Saraga already constructed and Jackson’s Parade yet to be
constructed. I also assisted in carrying out geotechnical investigation for all these Roads.

Kramer Ausenco was engaged by Hebou to produce a preliminary road design and cost estimate for
roads tendered by NCDC.

FIRM: DEPARTMENT OF WORKS – KAVIENG, NEW IRELAND PROVINCE.

POSITION: TRAINEE ENGINEER.
During my three months with DOW, I spent two months on the field with Works Supervisors and a
month in the office with the Provincial Works Manager and his team of engineers.
I was assigned to the road maintenance team to;
- Patch potholes and carryout bridge maintenance works along the Buluminsky Highway.
- Carryout river bank, coastal and shore line protection works using sandbags along the
Buluminsky Highway
- Assisted in supervising the Patrol Grading along the Buluminsky Highway (Namatanai).
I also spent two months assisting the Provincial Works Manager and Provincial Civil Engineer;
- Carry out bridge and road inspections and identify projects to include in proposals and
proposed project scope of works.
- Inspect different stages of ongoing renovation of health centers around New Ireland Province
to verify and approve a claim
- Check BOQ’s and evaluation of tenders for building and civil works project around New Ireland
Province.
- Other office administration work as directed by the PWM.

Spent three months working as a casual worker at the production line of Markham Culverts producing
