Project Backgroud
This Business Need Memorandum summarizes the main items of the foreseen SAP implementation in
YUSHU during 2016-2017, a project named Kylin (In ancient Chinese mythology, the Kylin is one of
the "Four Divine Creatures", it was regarded as a celestial animal, a benevolent animal and a symbol of
auspiciousness).
<Scala> was in the early 2000’s the de-facto DSM standard for ERP systems in China. The Scala system
has evolved over time and in early 2013 I-Scala has been implemented. However, the systemis getting
outdated and no longer fit to support professionally further growth in BU CHINA. Also, the support is
getting diminished, both by DSM ICT and by the software vendor.

The DSP IT strategy is to implement SAP on all its units.BU China took a big step with ZIBO SAP
implementation project and it is now ready for next challenge by doing it so, in Yushu site, in order to
extend the gaining benefits of standardized processes in SAP in the whole BU China. Preparation
