Q. When do all of these
changes start?

 A. The new products on WritersDomain roll out
the 1st of March!
 The website will go live shortly after midnight,
February 28/March 1. Keywords will be added
later that morning.
Q. What happens to the
February articles that aren’t
reviewed by March 1?

 A. All articles will be reviewed by March 1!
Q. Will we still be able to
have five topics at a time?

 A. Each writer will be able to hold one keyword
at any given time. We encourage you to dive
into the keyword and produce a great article,
then focus on choosing another keyword. This
will also disable writers from hoarding $100+ in
topics.
Q. How long will we have to
write each article?

 A. You will have 8 hours for each topic,
including topics chosen via the GNA button.
Q. How many article topics
will be available in March?
 A. Since these new products are more expensive
for our clients, a lot fewer will be ordered each
month—possibly fewer than in February.
 However, the standard and premium articles will
take much longer to write than the current articles
and writers will not be able to fly through topics as
some do now. In addition, many writers will not
make the transition with us and we predict fewer
contributors moving forward.
 WritersDomain is also still growing at a very fast rate,
and we add new clients every day. The number of
topics available will continue to grow as always.
Q. Will WritersDomain close
dormant writer accounts?
 A. No. Historically, WritersDomain has not implemented
quotas for writers to meet in order to retain an active
account. This will remain our policy, at least throughout
the transition.
 We anticipate a significant turnover in writers with this
transition. Our goal and priority is to retain writers
(dormant or active) who meet the new writing standards
and who will produce the quality of content our clients
seek. We will not, however, resume hiring until we have a
clear idea of how many current, dormant, and waitlisted
writers meet the new writing standards.
Q. If I currently have access to 600word articles, will I automatically have
access to the premium articles?
 A. No. The new products available March 1 differ greatly from
the current products. Therefore, historical data and ratings will
become obsolete. Each writer will have access to standard
articles, and those that excel with standard articles will be
approved to write premium articles.
 We realize that this may seem like starting at square one,
despite the long-standing track record many of you have with
WritersDomain. Ultimately, our priority is to provide our clients
with best-quality products and the best way to do that is to
choose writers who are tried and proven with the new
products. That said, we are fully confident that those of you
who produced above and beyond the current requirements
will excel with these new products.
Q. How do I get approved to
write premium articles?
 A. The process for selecting premium-article
writers will be the same as the current 600writer selection process. Those writers who
consistently receive 4- and 5-star ratings will
qualify to write premium articles, and will be
approved based on the volume of premium
articles available. Preference will be given to
highest ratings, consistency, and track record,
in that order.
Q. Will there still be a cap on
how many articles I can
write?
 A. A cap on standard articles will be instituted
at 80 articles in any given 30-day period. There
is no cap for premium articles.
 80 articles equates to $1600 per month, which
is approximately the current maximum a writer
may earn writing 200-word articles.
Q. Will we be required to find
images for our articles?
 A. Nope! Part of the quality push will include
making your content scannable and more
readable and enjoyable on the web, including
using headings, subheadings, and lists. Images
certainly are one way to make content more
attractive, and we will have an in-house team
that adds appropriate images and other
graphics before the articles are published.
Q. Is $20 for standard articles
the high end or low end of
the pay scale?

 A. Beginning March 1, WritersDomain will no
longer be using a tiered pay scale based on
an article rating. Approved, standard articles
will simply receive $20 and approved, premium
articles will receive $40.
Q. I’m currently a 4-star
writer—will I retain my rating
after March 1?
 A. Since the products and focus of
WritersDomain are completely changing,
historic data and ratings will become obsolete.
This means past ratings will not hold much
weight with the current products; rather, we will
be much more concerned with post-March 1
ratings.
Q. Will the Pay Me Now
button remain at $100?

 A. Yes. You will still be able to pay out any time you reach
$100. Automatic payments will also still be made on the 5th of
the month.
Q. How should I cite the
sources that I'm using?
 A. The WritersDomain Writing Desk is equipped with a rich text editor
that gives you the ability to hyperlink to the sources you're using. Just
highlight part of the phrase that's introducing your information, click
the hyperlink button, and insert the link for the page you used.
 We also encourage inline citations, though with a few guidelines:
 Do not use parenthetical citations.
 Do not use an entire URL as an inline citation

 Here are a few examples of good inline citations:
 "As Mashable.com claims . . ."
 In this example, "mashable.com" would be hyperlinked to the specific article.

 ". . . as explained in a recent study“
 Here, "recent study" would be hyperlinked to the site with the specific study.
Other info:
 Each article will be allowed two revisions, rather than just
one! This will help each of our writers have a greater
chance of success in learning the new products. Once
the transition has smoothed out and the usefulness of
allowing two revisions has declined, we will revert back
to one revision request.
 Reviewers will leave comments on every article.
 Starting March 1, the article drops will even out
throughout the month. This means that the number of
articles added the first of the month will be lower, and
the number of articles added every day after the 1st will
be higher.

  • 14. Q. Is $20 for standard articles the high end or low end of the pay scale?  A. Beginning March 1, WritersDomain will no longer be using a tiered pay scale based on an article rating. Approved, standard articles will simply receive $20 and approved, premium articles will receive $40.
  • 15. Q. I’m currently a 4-star writer—will I retain my rating after March 1?  A. Since the products and focus of WritersDomain are completely changing, historic data and ratings will become obsolete. This means past ratings will not hold much weight with the current products; rather, we will be much more concerned with post-March 1 ratings.
  • 16. Q. Will the Pay Me Now button remain at $100?  A. Yes. You will still be able to pay out any time you reach $100. Automatic payments will also still be made on the 5th of the month.
  • 17. Q. How should I cite the sources that I'm using?  A. The WritersDomain Writing Desk is equipped with a rich text editor that gives you the ability to hyperlink to the sources you're using. Just highlight part of the phrase that's introducing your information, click the hyperlink button, and insert the link for the page you used.  We also encourage inline citations, though with a few guidelines:  Do not use parenthetical citations.  Do not use an entire URL as an inline citation  Here are a few examples of good inline citations:  "As Mashable.com claims . . ."  In this example, "mashable.com" would be hyperlinked to the specific article.  ". . . as explained in a recent study“  Here, "recent study" would be hyperlinked to the site with the specific study.
  • 18. Other info:  Each article will be allowed two revisions, rather than just one! This will help each of our writers have a greater chance of success in learning the new products. Once the transition has smoothed out and the usefulness of allowing two revisions has declined, we will revert back to one revision request.  Reviewers will leave comments on every article.  Starting March 1, the article drops will even out throughout the month. This means that the number of articles added the first of the month will be lower, and the number of articles added every day after the 1st will be higher.
