Tropical rainforests are usually found near the equator and have three main types: monsoon, equatorial, and subtropical. They receive between 1500-2500mm of rain annually and temperatures range from 30-35°C during the day and 20-25°C at night. Temperate rainforests are located near coastal temperate regions and range in temperature from 22-29°C, receiving rain 80% of the year. Sloths are slow mammals with algae growing on their fur that eat leaves, shoots, and fruit, while Siberian tigers live in Russian and Asian rainforests eating elk and boar and are endangered with 400-500 left in the wild.
