Responsibilities:
Managed the Telkom MSAN rollout nationally which was a four year multi -million Rand program.
Once the MSAN technology was installed, optimised the Telkom exchanges from an environmental
equipment perspective and electrical consumption.

nationally that generated billions of Rand’s of revenue for Telkom. These sites were Telkom’s highest
revenue generators.
Developed a divisional budget and worked within these budget constraints. Managed a budget of
R 2 million.
Being responsible for the profit centre budget, it was required that the costs on soft services,
maintenance, utilities etc. was analysed per building and discrepancies identified between similar
buildings to optimise our services.
Integrated the electrical, HVAC, fire, security, infrastructure, project, business case, design, property,
workplace, cleaning, hygiene, gardening, and pest control services to provide a seamless service to
Telkom.
Instituted site specific Facilities Management Master Plans, which, took into consideration the 5 year
maintenance plans, space and energy optimisation, projects, life cycle costing, and capital funds that were
required.
Provided a complete asset management database for Telkom.
Advised Telkom on new developments within the Telecommunications and Data centre environments and
ensured that their facilities were capable of adopting this new technology.
Performed Customer Relations Management functions with the senior management of Telkom.
Ensured corporate governance, and adherence to all legislation for example the Occupational Health and

Region. The portfolio consisted of 926 buildings and 2100 mast sites.

As a project co-ordinator it was required to ensure that the Cell C maintenance was carried out according
to the SLA’s contractually agreed to between TFMC and Cell C. The Cell C contract entailed maintaining
the infrastructure, fire and access, air-conditioning and electrical systems of the Cell C containers and
masts.
