This company is providing Managed Print Services. Data
about remote printer consumption is managed in a Siebel
database (fed from various meters as well as manually)
which needs to be edited before being forwarded to SAP
Convergent Charging.
The SAP Convergent Mediation solution collects on a daily base
customer information from SAP Convergent Charging (webservices),
usage information from Siebel (database connection), archive and clean
up the data (duplicate, missing fields…), calculate a delta with previous
meter and then transmit it to the downstream SAP Convergent Charging
(SAP CC) system via an interface to the Bart module for further batch
processing.

This Railway Company plans to evolve from manual
voucher management to paperless voucher, and so
requires a flexible (as new voucher type are underway)
and scalable system (as new way of using/distributing
vouchers are planned). It selected the combination of SAP
CRM, SAP Convergent Mediation and SAP Convergent
Charging.
The SAP Convergent Mediation solution is used to cache
the information contained in the SAP CRM system, so that
all eligibility checks on vouchers are done in a fast and
reliable way thanks to the Usage Management. It interfaces
with the Point of Sales or Ticket Vending Machines, SAP
Convergent Charging and the CRM (which is the master of
all information). The following processes are implemented:
• Creation of a new voucher in batch or dynamically
• Eligibility tests of a voucher
• Use of voucher for a given sale

road tolling related events to later enable discounts. This
involved reconciliation of in and out events, as well as
simple rules (if a car re-enters a highway less than 10

situation could be handled with a short time to market.
