Biography
In 2004 I completed a Diploma of Visual Arts with Double Major in Printmakingand Painting.
Learning under Peter Indans’s tuition,fostered my fascination for experimentation of printmakingideas.
Eventually we developed a new technique in Printmaking;embossing sand,pumice dust, and carborundum
particles with engravingof p.v.c. plates,this I use to create my intaglio images.
I also useexperimental drawingtechniques usinga combination of mediums and offset inks on castcoated
papers.
My recent folio, takes the rivers,water catchments, mountains and the estuaries and depicts the landscapeas
poetic images by entwining materials,medium and topic to produce images that areunique to my signature.
These works resemble Cartographic Maps and area deliberateattempt to superimposethe traditional
custodians’influences with scientificinformation pertainingto the geographical areasrepresented
I choose to work mainly in printmakingtechniques as this allows mefreedom to experiment with materials
usinga diversity of concepts which aredeveloped through responses to subject.
I have received selection and awards in major Visual Artcompetitions and my works held in collections
throughout Australiaand overseas.
