My media product uses, develops, and challenges some conventions of real music videos, digipaks, and magazine ads.
It uses conventions like a variety of camera shots and angles in the music video, bright colors linked to the genre of pop music, singing and dancing, and costume changes. However, it challenges conventions by not making the dance sequence a major part of the video and by including images from the digipak in the music video.
The digipak uses conventions like fun, upbeat images and bright colors to represent the pop genre.
The magazine ad centers a large image of the lead singer looking to the side rather than straight on, similar to other ads that draw viewers' interest without direct

This is a essential part of a

5. Things we challenged
In the music video one thing that we did do that was
different was the fact that we used images that appeared in
our didgipak in our music video.
6. Conventions of my Digigpak
We had a large selection of images so we had a choice of what we could use for
our digipak. We had different shots of our main person using different props
e.g. balloons. We had our main person looking like they were having a fun and
upbeat time so it would match our music video and the song. We chose to do
this as other artists have similar types of images (having fun) on their digipaks.
We used bright colours to show the fun, stylish pop genre in which we decided
to do and to make it stand out from the crowd. An example of this would be of
the didgipak in the bottom left hand corner.
7. Forms and conventions of my
magazine advert.
My magazine advert has a centralized large image of the
main/lead person. This is done in a lot of magazine adverts
especially the way that she is positioned and where she is
looking. As you will see on the next slide that she is not looking
straight on but is looking to the side as to not make eye contact.
This can conote many different things e.g. she is distracted or is
looking at something beautiful or attractive maybe she is drawn
to music. The music could be the song she is promoting. This
can intrigue a viewer and make them what to know more or
listen to it.
On the next slide you will also see other examples that do the
same thing.
