INTRODUCTION
 A four members delegation of Deniz Feneri (Turkey) visited Pakistan
    to see the projects completed (2011-12) in collaboration with
                      “The NGO World”(Pakistan).
During two days stay delegation visited projects in Layyah,
Muzaffargarh and Khanewal districts. At the end of 2nd day,
delegation met with members of Khanewal Press Club and shared
the details of their joint interventions in Pakistan due to which more
than 300,000 needy people have been benefited.

    A small ceremony was held at hotel to present the two years projects and
                        achievements to the delegation
Highlights:

1.   The NGO World core team participated along with the DF delegation and also
     observed an introduction session
2.   Zafar Iqbal (ED, The NGO World) Presented the two year summary of
     activities and report was handed over to brother RECEP KOÇAK
3.   Documentary about disaster projects was played there
4.   Projects completion reports were handed over to Brother RECEP KOÇAK
5.   Audit Reports of accounts of The NGO World for two years were handed over
     to Brother RECEP KOÇAK
6.   A model of the Masjid was presented to Brother AHMET TURAN
Visit of                Kousar Project Layyah
    Kousar Project is a self help initiative taken in Layyah. Here is established a center
                       of non formal education and vocational skills.
 More than 60 poor kids are getting early education
 More than 30 poor young girls are learning skills so that they can support their
   families in earning
Visit Highlights:
1. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with the managing team of Kousar
     Project
2. Orientation of the project was given to the delegation
3. Children welcome the delegation by presenting flowers and saying “Marhaba
     Turkey”
4. Delegation met with children and asked a girl to recite Fatiha. She recited well.
     Children also sung the national anthem of Pakistan
5. Delegation met with young girls learning skills and asked different questions
6. Brother AHMET TURAN appreciated the effort and said education with skills is
     best option.
7. Brother RECEP KOÇAK asked for the data of participants
Visit of          Light House Village Layyah

TNW identified home less flood affected families and put efforts to resettle them.
       The houses were built on a single shared location (kukar wala) like a small
    village with other requirements especially proper sewerage and arrangements
    for clean water. The name to this small village is given as" Light House Village
Visit Highlights:
1. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with Dr Javed iqbal (Activists and
     Residents) and gave orientation of the project to the delegation
2. Children welcome the delegation by presenting flowers and saying “Marhaba
     Turkey”
3. Light House was decorated with Pakistan and Turkey flags. A welcome banner
     was also displayed.
4. Delegation visited all homes and met with the owners who thanks the Turkish
     friends on their support
5. Delegation appreciated the work and prayed for the people
Visit of             Carpet Project Layyah

   Floods 2010 destroyed 263 units of small scale household carpet industry
     putting livelihood of 1200 families under severe stress. In response, TNW
      successfully completed the project of rebuilding 100 sheds along with
    provision of other related facilities for selected (un-affording) beneficiaries
                     and restored the livelihood of 400 families.

Visit Highlights:
1. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with Mr. Naeem Khan(Activist) and
     gave orientation of the project to the delegation
2. Delegation visited carpet rooms and met with carpet weavers
3. Delegation appreciated the work and prayed for the people
Visit of                     Masjid Project

   Alhamdulillah: The NGO World has completed the reconstruction of Jamia Masjid in
        Basti Chan (ghazi ghat tehsil kotadu district Muzaffargarh) with 700 person’s
      capacity to offer salat. This masjid was totally damaged during the heavy floods

Visit Highlights:
1. Children and residents of area welcome delegation with flags in hands, flowers
     and slogans “Marhaba Turkey”
2. Delegation offered Juma prayer
3. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with Malik Rafiq, Imam and other team
     members and gave orientation of the project
4. Brother Ahmet Turan delivered a beautiful lecture and advised the Muslims
5. Brother RECEP KOÇAK delivered a brief speech to the participants
6. Delegation saw the pictures taken on different stages of project pasted on a wall.
7. Masjid walls were decorated with Turkish flags and banners of thanks
8. Brother Ahmet Turan inaugurated the plate and prayed for the area people
9. Delegation appreciated the work and team involved in this work and also prayed
     for the people
Visit of                   Livestock Project

The organization has distributed cows and goats’ among the poor livestock farming groups,
    women and youth of the area to sustain their livelihoods and to make them productive
                                        entrepreneurs.
 Overall goal of the project is poverty alleviation from target families through livestock.

Visit Highlights:
1. Children and residents of area welcome delegation with flags in hands,
     flowers and slogans “Marhaba Turkey”
2. Delegation visited the homes of beneficiaries and watched the condition of
     their home and livestock present at their home.
3. Delegation was given orientation of the project, tag process and medical
     facilities for animals
4. Brother RECEP KOÇAK handed over goats and cows to the beneficiaries and
     also saw the new goat babies.
5. Brother RECEP KOÇAK delivered a speech and advised the people to take care of
    animals and prayed for maximum benefit
Visit of            RIDA Girls Education Center

     Here 93 girls are getting education above matriculation level. Some of these are those
        girls who have restarted their education as they had terminated the process after
   completing 10th class a few years back due to unavailability of local facility and resources
                             to move to nearby cities for this purpose.
Visit Highlights:
1.    Students presented flowers to the delegation
2.    Delegation visited and attended ceremony to cut ribbon of RIDA center
3.    Delegation visited each class and talked with students and teachers. Delegation also
      observed the study process in class rooms
4.    Delegation visited the small computer lab and asked students about their computer
      skills
5.    Delegation visited the vocational skills portion and observed the working
6.    Delegation attended the function organized by the students
7.    Students in speech warmly welcome the Turkish brothers and thanks for visiting the
      college
8.    Brother RECEP KOÇAK in his speech appreciated the efforts and distributed gifts to the
      students
9.    Brother RECEP KOÇAK met with blind students and promised for their treatment
RIDA Girls Education Center
Visit of                  Press Club khanewal

     Executive body of District Press Club khanewal invited the delegation to visit the Press
    Club and provide them opportunity to serve them. Delegation visited the Press club and
                          had tea and lunch with the working journalists
Visit Highlights:
1.    President of the Press club (Mr. Tahir Naseem) along with executive members warmly
      received the delegation and welcome them
2.    In the ceremony were present journalists along with prominent personalities of the
      city
3.    President of the Press Club formally welcome and thanks the delegation
4.    Zafar Iqbal (Executive Director The NGO World) told about the projects completed for
      people by both organizations
5.    Brother RECEP KOÇAK in his speech thanks them for the honor and expressed views of
      love and affection from Turkish people towards Pakistan
6.    A computer was gifted to the press club from us
7.    President of Press Club formally invited the journalists and social workers of Turkey to
      visit again

  • 2. INTRODUCTION A four members delegation of Deniz Feneri (Turkey) visited Pakistan to see the projects completed (2011-12) in collaboration with “The NGO World”(Pakistan). During two days stay delegation visited projects in Layyah, Muzaffargarh and Khanewal districts. At the end of 2nd day, delegation met with members of Khanewal Press Club and shared the details of their joint interventions in Pakistan due to which more than 300,000 needy people have been benefited.

  • 5. Projects Presentation & Documents Handing Over A small ceremony was held at hotel to present the two years projects and achievements to the delegation Highlights: 1. The NGO World core team participated along with the DF delegation and also observed an introduction session 2. Zafar Iqbal (ED, The NGO World) Presented the two year summary of activities and report was handed over to brother RECEP KOÇAK 3. Documentary about disaster projects was played there 4. Projects completion reports were handed over to Brother RECEP KOÇAK 5. Audit Reports of accounts of The NGO World for two years were handed over to Brother RECEP KOÇAK 6.   • 6. Visit of Kousar Project Layyah Kousar Project is a self help initiative taken in Layyah. Here is established a center of non formal education and vocational skills.  More than 60 poor kids are getting early education  More than 30 poor young girls are learning skills so that they can support their families in earning Visit Highlights: 1. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with the managing team of Kousar Project 2. Orientation of the project was given to the delegation 3. Children welcome the delegation by presenting flowers and saying “Marhaba Turkey” 4. Delegation met with children and asked a girl to recite Fatiha. She recited well. Children also sung the national anthem of Pakistan 5. Delegation met with young girls learning skills and asked different questions 6. Brother AHMET TURAN appreciated the effort and said education with skills is best option. 7. Brother RECEP KOÇAK asked for the data of participants

  • 8. Visit of Light House Village Layyah TNW identified home less flood affected families and put efforts to resettle them. The houses were built on a single shared location (kukar wala) like a small village with other requirements especially proper sewerage and arrangements for clean water. The name to this small village is given as" Light House Village Visit Highlights: 1. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with Dr Javed iqbal (Activists and Residents) and gave orientation of the project to the delegation 2. Children welcome the delegation by presenting flowers and saying “Marhaba Turkey” 3. Light House was decorated with Pakistan and Turkey flags. A welcome banner was also displayed. 4. Delegation visited all homes and met with the owners who thanks the Turkish friends on their support 5. Delegation appreciated the work and prayed for the people

  • 10. Visit of Carpet Project Layyah Floods 2010 destroyed 263 units of small scale household carpet industry putting livelihood of 1200 families under severe stress. In response, TNW successfully completed the project of rebuilding 100 sheds along with provision of other related facilities for selected (un-affording) beneficiaries and restored the livelihood of 400 families. Visit Highlights: 1. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with Mr. Naeem Khan(Activist) and gave orientation of the project to the delegation 2. Delegation visited carpet rooms and met with carpet weavers 3. Delegation appreciated the work and prayed for the people

Visit of Masjid Project Alhamdulillah: The NGO World has completed the reconstruction of Jamia Masjid in Basti Chan (ghazi ghat tehsil kotadu district Muzaffargarh) with 700 person’s capacity to offer salat. This masjid was totally damaged during the heavy floods 2010 Visit Highlights: 1. Children and residents of area welcome delegation with flags in hands, flowers and slogans “Marhaba Turkey” 2. Delegation offered Juma prayer 3. Mr. Zafar Iqbal introduced the delegation with Malik Rafiq, Imam and other team members and gave orientation of the project 4. Brother Ahmet Turan delivered a beautiful lecture and advised the Muslims 5. Brother RECEP KOÇAK delivered a brief speech to the participants 6. Delegation saw the pictures taken on different stages of project pasted on a wall. 7. Masjid walls were decorated with Turkish flags and banners of thanks 8. Brother Ahmet Turan inaugurated the plate and prayed for the area people 9. Delegation appreciated the work and team involved in this work and also prayed for the people

Visit of Livestock Project The organization has distributed cows and goats’ among the poor livestock farming groups, women and youth of the area to sustain their livelihoods and to make them productive entrepreneurs. Overall goal of the project is poverty alleviation from target families through livestock. Visit Highlights: 1. Children and residents of area welcome delegation with flags in hands, flowers and slogans “Marhaba Turkey” 2. Delegation visited the homes of beneficiaries and watched the condition of their home and livestock present at their home. 3. Delegation was given orientation of the project, tag process and medical facilities for animals 4. Brother RECEP KOÇAK handed over goats and cows to the beneficiaries and also saw the new goat babies. 5. Brother RECEP KOÇAK delivered a speech and advised the people to take care of animals and prayed for maximum benefit

  • 16. Visit of RIDA Girls Education Center Here 93 girls are getting education above matriculation level. Some of these are those girls who have restarted their education as they had terminated the process after completing 10th class a few years back due to unavailability of local facility and resources to move to nearby cities for this purpose. Visit Highlights: 1. Students presented flowers to the delegation 2. Delegation visited and attended ceremony to cut ribbon of RIDA center 3. Delegation visited each class and talked with students and teachers. Delegation also observed the study process in class rooms 4. Delegation visited the small computer lab and asked students about their computer skills 5. Delegation visited the vocational skills portion and observed the working 6. Delegation attended the function organized by the students 7. Students in speech warmly welcome the Turkish brothers and thanks for visiting the college 8. Brother RECEP KOÇAK in his speech appreciated the efforts and distributed gifts to the students 9. Brother RECEP KOÇAK met with blind students and promised for their treatment

  • 19. Visit of Press Club khanewal Executive body of District Press Club khanewal invited the delegation to visit the Press Club and provide them opportunity to serve them. Delegation visited the Press club and had tea and lunch with the working journalists Visit Highlights: 1. President of the Press club (Mr. Tahir Naseem) along with executive members warmly received the delegation and welcome them 2. In the ceremony were present journalists along with prominent personalities of the city 3. President of the Press Club formally welcome and thanks the delegation 4. Zafar Iqbal (Executive Director The NGO World) told about the projects completed for people by both organizations 5. Brother RECEP KOÇAK in his speech thanks them for the honor and expressed views of love and affection from Turkish people towards Pakistan 6. A computer was gifted to the press club from us 7. President of Press Club formally invited the journalists and social workers of Turkey to visit again
