Launched by accomplished business entrepreneur Monica Squara, The Azotic Group is a collective of four specialist
media agencies. The Azotic Group has evolved from what was formerly known as Nu-Venture Media. Nu-Venture Media
was established in 2010 and was birthed as a specialist, service orientated Out-Of-Home Media and Production agency.
Nu-Venture Media excelled by tailoring a personal touch designed to offer creativity, integrated solutions and results in

Meet the Team
CEO – Monica Squara
Monica is currently the CEO of Azotic Media (Pty) Ltd. The Azotic Group is a collective of specialist business units which
includes Azotic OOH Media & Production in South Africa & Africa, Corporate Branding & Gifts and Digital Assembly (Pty)
Ltd - a digital media agency.
Monica is well-known and is a respected authority in the Out-Of-Home Advertising & Media Industry in South Africa. With
more than 12 years’ experience specifically in Out-Of-Home Advertising & Media; she has mastered the balance required
between art and science to successfully harness the impact, effectiveness and diversity offered by the power of this
versatile & exceptionally varied medium. The goal in mind is always to generate proven impressive returns for her valued
clients.
Before launching Azotic, Monica started a specialist OOH Media and Production Agency called Nu-Venture Media in 2010.
Nu-Venture Media focused on service delivery and continuous innovation to deliver marketing transformation in the OOH
industry. Through the use of technology informed strategic deliverables, a vast understanding of the SA landscape and a
solid grip on the myriad of opportunities available in the OOH arena, Nu-Venture Media caught the attention of Starcom
SA’s CEO and was appointed as the preferred supplier for OOH.
Prior to Nu-Venture, Monica had been headhunted by Posterscope in 2007 to head up their Client Service Division. She
managed the Strategy, Implementation, Buying, Production and Account Management business units to deliver
impressive ROI against the marketing objectives of Posterscope’s client’s timeously, efficiently and correctly to the finest
detail. Her role at Posterscope was also to ensure the profitability and accountability of the agency as a whole and under
her appointment, Posterscope was recognized for the high standard of work executed which was in line with her own
high expectations.
The relationships that Monica fosters with her clients is a paramount priority to the way she conducts business and this
has been a fundamental contributing factor to her success. Before being headhunted by Posterscope, Monica had an
illustrious career at Primedia Outdoor. After initially being appointed as the National Sales Manager for the Bus Shelter
Division, Monica was tasked with turning the entire division around in just 6 months. On the back of the success she
enjoyed in achieving just that, Monica was appointed to launch the brand new PrimeLites offering - an entirely new take
on outdoor pioneered by Primedia. Monica hand reared PrimeLites to life from scouting locations to installation and
ultimately being responsible for and ensuring delivering of target driven sales as the Sales Manager of this new division.
Voted by her peers and co-workers as Sales Manager of the year, she went on to become the Business Unit Manager for
Primedia Outdoor, responsible for the successful custodianship of all Primedia’s outdoor divisions including Bus Shelters,
PrimeLites, Airports, Campaign Outdoor and Spectacular.
Monica has worked extensively with large multinational agencies such as Starcom Worldwide, MediaShop, OMD,
MediaCom, Mindshare, Universal McCann, TBWA and Ogilvy Mather. Her impressive client base has included Unilever, SA
Breweries, Coca Cola, GSK and Nestle and she has worked closely with the media departments of Standard Bank,
McDonalds, Nissan, Samsung, and Vodacom.

Financial Director – Yolande Liebenberg
Yolande is a Senior Management Executive & Certified Technical Financial Accountant who has been active in the financial
industry for the last 7 years. She is highly entrepreneurial with a track record of success through her efforts working
intimately with high growth businesses, guiding their expansion.
She has a National Diploma in Technical Financial Accounting and is a Member of the ICBA (Institute of Certified
Bookkeepers & Accountants). Yolande is an exceptionally reliable person who is consistent and operates at the highest
level of professionalism. Her enthusiasm coupled with her professional insight puts Yolande in a respected and trusted
stewardship position from which she skilfully manages all aspects of Azotic Media’s Financial Department.
Taking responsibility for the legitimacy and accuracy of absolutely every single detail of Azotic’s finance related
operational and transactional activities makes Yolande a fundamental and crucial part of the Azotic team. She is also a
Commissioner of Oaths and believes that expert management of a company’s balance sheet plays an integral role in its
contribution to the success of a company.

Managing Director – The Digital Media Consultancy
Cheryl Ingram - Director & Founder of The Digital Media Consultancy – is a media specialist with 16 years digital
marketing experience. Cheryl entered the Digital Marketing industry in 2000 when she joined Microsoft UK’s Advertising
division: msn.co.uk<http://msn.co.uk>. In her last role at Microsoft, Cheryl led their Agency Trading Division, managing a
team of 20 that serviced the UK’s top Media buying Agencies.
She left Microsoft to join ValueClick Inc ( now Conversant Media) in Feb 2008 where she took on the role of Commercial
Director UK for Commission Junction, one of the top 3 Affiliate Marketing Networks globally. In 2010 Cheryl returned to
SA to Open Valueclick, South Africa, building a local market entity whose core function was to service clients in the UK,
France and Germany.
In 2013 Cheryl left ValueClick and founded The Digital Media Consultancy – an independent marketing agency that
focuses exclusively on providing Digital Marketing expertise to their partners and clients. Working strategically with
Publishers, Platforms and Technology partners, both locally and internationally in the online space, The Digital Media
Consultancy delivers scalable and cost effective digital marketing solutions for advertisers across the globe. Their focus is
to help clients navigate the online advertising environment to reach connected audiences - in doing so - building
advertising campaigns that deliver high-impact real-time advertising across any device. With a wealth of experience
across the digital channels (social, search, content creation, creative and display advertising services) – Cheryl has a
proven record of delivering cost efficient solutions to international clients wanting to outsource parts of their digital
marketing function as well as an abundance of local market expertise to clients tackling the African marketplace.
Cheryl extended her leadership team in May 2015 to include: Jo Griffiths, a seasoned Digital Marketer whose expertise in
Social Media and Strategy made her an obvious choice. Jo hails from the UK and is considered one of the UK’s digital
pioneers, having entered the industry as early as 1998. Her experience is vast having worked across some of the UK’s
biggest brands including but not limited to BSKYB, Orange Telecoms, Arla Foods, British Gas and Levi Jeans. Now based in
Cape-Town, Jo drives New Business Development and all Social strategy for TDMC clients. More recently Jo has been
responsible for the development of a social media strategy for the Western Cape Government and has overseen the
rollout across all 29 Municipalities.
In September, a second senior hire was made and Duncan Colville joined TDMC as Director of Search & Web
Development. Duncan has spent the last 5 years managing web builds for clients as well as managing all aspects of Search

MD Cape Town Branch – Mandy Johnson
Mandy is a seasoned media executive, leader and strategist. Renowned in the advertising & communications industry
having 15 years of experience, she is an expert in media strategy, media planning & buying, implementation and
campaign management. Mandy has worn many hats in her career – client service manager, account manager, business
unit director, strategist, campaign manager, marketer and media specialist to mention a few.
Mandy has spent the last 9 years passionately focused on driving the growth, viability and importance of the Out Of
Home industry. Priding herself on her unfailing commitment to her clients, Mandy has a very hands-on approach to the
way she conducts business. She has a unique ability to manage multi-faceted projects and to navigate complex
challenges believing that her professional value boils down to the following - Mandy has been directing the
development of media strategy & implementation for a significant number of years; she is highly regarded for the
successful achievement of media driven business goals on behalf of her clients; She is a multi-linguist in advertising

Account Manager – Bruce Macfarlane
After attending Bath University (U.K), Bruce’s media career started with a BANG working for a major TTL ad agency called
JHD Media based in Bristol (U.K) as a Strategist and Planner working on accounts such as BT Telecommunications / Child
Welfare / RSPCA and Sainsbury’s. During these three years, Bruce was able to develop a clear understanding of Account
Management / New Business development / Integrated Marketing / Marketing Strategy and Planning and Campaign
Building.
In 2009, Bruce moved back to South Africa and decided to sit on the other end of the table and use his media knowledge,
his creativity and imagination to develop concepts and initiate those concepts, into successful campaigns which he has
achieved with various media houses and clients alike such as FNB / OLX / Vodacom / Jaguar / Philips and Qatar and many
more.
Bruce is an energetic, ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task that he
undertakes, or situation that he is presented with. As a professional with 10 years of media experience on various media
platforms, he is excellent in working with others to achieve objectives on time and with excellence.

Media & Production Manager – Katlego Lekalakala
Katlego is a highly ambitious, performance driven media professional with 7 years of proven unparalleled work ethic in
the advertising & communication industry. Having completed a Diploma in Media Studies majoring in Advertising, she
started her career as an intern at the ZA Group. Whilst there she immediately got to work in the Strategic Marketing,
Branding and Training divisions of the company where she developed outstanding fluency in a multitude of marketing
concepts and disciplines. She has utilized these skills to her advantage and continues to refine her own personal pedigree
through her continuously expanding experience with a plethora of print and OOH media formats.
Katlego has worked on both the agency and the media owner sides of the media industry. During her tenure at Off-The-
Wall Advertising she showed her strong capacity to manage multiple projects on strict timelines, consistently delivering
on both the client and agency expectations. While there she executed campaigns involving niche commuter OOH
opportunities, whilst proactively seeking out to be tasked with managing the advertising and print production portfolios
of the agency as well. As a result, Katlego worked closely with PRASA Corporate Landlords building and managing
previously nonexistent new business opportunities in the commuter space to grow the media offerings of the company.
This involved implementing standard operating procedures, introducing new and improved marketing initiatives and
strategies and providing input on creative solutions to difficult channel specific marketing challenges.
Katlego has maintained a solid understanding of the importance of articulately and meticulously expressed production
briefs based on her acute focus on the detail when crafting media plans. She has proven competencies in team
leadership, client service, portfolio management, negotiation, marketing and production management, promotions and
roadshows. She believes in maintaining and improving clients and agencies relationships through keeping her eye on the
goal, ensuring solutions that enable profitability and growth for all stakeholders.

Media Planning & Implementation – Natalie Carr
Natalie has always been a marketing enthusiast and she took taking the bull by the horns to a whole new level when she
threw herself head first into the industry, tenaciously seeking out an opportunity to get her foot through the door. This
infallible determination and ambition has seen her rapidly accrue a decorated portfolio spanning across multiple channel
disciplines. She discovered that her core interests were established through a focus on print and outdoor. Having worked
on large retail accounts such as Makro and Builders Warehouse, Natalie was approached by The Mediashop to work in
their OOH department. She had the pleasure of working on accounts such as Famous Brands, Tiger Brands, Absa and
Eskom.
Natalie is no stranger to large media agencies having worked at Mindshare as well. Always wanting to satisfy her hunger
for more – more knowledge, more experience and more opportunities – Natalie successfully completed studies at Vega -
the Brand Communications School, in Brand Building. She achieved a distinction for her Social Media assignment which
clearly demonstrates Natalie’s natural adaptability and capacity to succeed in the communications industry. Natalie is able
to seamlessly and effortlessly excel in crafting media plans and designing implementation strategies - regardless of the
medium she is applying herself too.
Natalie is comfortable and experienced as an Account Manager, previously as a Project Leader and most prominently as a
Media Planner. Media Planning is where Natalie has found her niche. She thoroughly enjoys the opportunity it gives her
to be creative and a fundamental part of bringing business strategy to life through effective and smart media planning.

Account Manager – Zainobiya Beg
Zainobiya is a Sales & Marketing executive with a proven track record of driving results. She has been in the industry for
6 years and heads up Azotic Media’s Corporate Gift and Company Branding Division. With her professional background
in multi-faceted marketing and branding, she is able to employ comprehensive marketing concepts and apply them to
everyday products. She excels at helping brands to develop their own unique branding and gifting identity and then
communicate that effectively to diverse audiences through branded items. Proficient in executive communication, she
can speak well at all levels of an organization and facilitate an effective conversation among all facets of product
development.
Zainobiya is a game changing leader, respected for consistently leading high growth and revenues within small and large
businesses alike in a highly competitive marketplace. She creates success through creating and fostering a productive
team culture, demonstrating and delivering high value to clients and being recognized for her commitment, reliability
and consistent delivery of excellence.
She is an expert in her field having years of experience with various markets. Strong experience in identifying

Maake is a self starter and a self motivator who has 3 years experience in the Advertising Industry. He understands
what is needed to get the job done and multi tasks and manages all aspects of the office management portfolio. He
believes that a successful office manager understands the responsibility that comes with being charged with an office’s
operational well-being. Maake’s intuitive and instinctive pro-active nature has made him a formidable member of the
Azotic Team. Often taken for granted - the amount of time, effort, energy and personal attention this role demands, is
met energetically with enthusiasm and tenacity.
Maake manages and maintains our inventory system which to date hosts over 12 500 OOH sites. He is dedicated to
ensure that all information is relevant and kept up to date, on a daily basis.

Before launching Azotic, Monica started a specialist OOH Media and Production Agency called Nu-Venture Media in 2010. Her role at Posterscope was also to ensure the profitability and accountability of the agency as a whole and under her appointment, Posterscope was recognized for the high standard of work executed which was in line with her own high expectations. Before being headhunted by Posterscope, Monica had an illustrious career at Primedia Outdoor. Katlego has worked on both the agency and the media owner sides of the media industry. While there she executed campaigns involving niche commuter OOH opportunities, whilst proactively seeking out to be tasked with managing the advertising and print production portfolios of the agency as well.
