consultants. A single team of Oracle Retail experts led by

retailers. Through this model, the retailer is able to
reduce the total cost of operations by up to 30%.
Managed Service: Zensar takes on the responsibility for

agreed upon and this type of engagement fits retailers
looking to engage in continuous improvement and long
term fixes.

A specialty retailer in the business of high-quality apparel and accessories for
children with over 1300 retail stores and five online channels, was looking to bring
an end to large monetary losses arising due to discrepancies in inventory stocking.
Zensar helped the retailer identify the source and plug the leakages of inventory
mismatches between the warehouse and retail stock ledger. By streamlining
processes and building permanent fixes by utilizing several Oracle Retail modules
including Merchandizing System, Distribution Management, Data Warehousing and
Store Systems and also upgrading to a global Oracle R12 financial architecture –
the retailer was able to benefit to the tune of several million US dollars.

3. A leading high street retailer in the UK with over 230 physical stores, online
commerce and mail order, was looking to consolidate its order processes to
provide a single consolidated view to the customer. A custom solution was built
leveraging Oracle WebCenter and Oracle Fusion Middleware to consolidate and
maintain order data through to the fulfillment process in a centralized system.
The SOA led distributed order management system helped improve customer
experience with reduced order transaction time by 18%, better customer
service and enhanced business insight.
CaseStudy Omni-Channel with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
A British multinational retailer with over 140 high street stores in the UK and
Ireland was looking to completely automate its online ordering processes.
Zensar proposed building a reusable process based SOA services to integrate
the master and transaction data with the existing IBM commerce suite. The
solution helped improve and maintain master data quality across – items,
prices, inventory, orders, orders status, etc.
With the automation of the ordering process, the retailer was able to meet
peaks of over 5000 transactions per day with an hour peak of 700 transactions.

Order to Cash Process Automation
For a retailer selling bakery products with over 1650 outlets across the UK,
leveraging the right analytical tools to provide the necessary intelligence
centrally and real-time is important to its success. The retailer worked with
Zensar to identify the right tools and phase out its existing sales reporting tool.
Oracle OBIEE was identified as a right fit for the retailer, and the transition to
advanced intelligence and sales performance monitoring was initiated. The
retailer also implemented Oracle Hyperion to improve planning and budgeting
at the individual store level. The retailer is now using the tools to its advantage –
for sales performance monitoring, advanced analytics across areas, optimized
data-models, and monitoring and benchmarking performance.

Automating the complete online ordering process not only benefits the customer with the
ability to shop at his pace, but also helps automate several business critical tasks to
minimize manual intervention. Inventory Management helps build the drill of inventory
tracking by coded identity, helping Retailers track stock levels across channels – online,
across stores and warehouses. An automated order fulfilment process enables the retailer
with accurate and real-time inventory movements bringing in higher transparency and
convenience to the consumer. Customer data gathered from across touch points also
helps the retailer track and reinforce customer specific marketing initiative.
Advanced analytics and intelligence reporting with customizable Oracle tools can help
your organization realize its full potential by providing the necessary business insight into
market dynamics, customers, products and operations. With large amounts of data, the
retailer is constantly looking for intelligence within on how the business is performing,
performance across stores, pricing strategies and product performance. Zensar helps
retailers across the globe build the right fit of oracle intelligence solutions.
To service the new era of consumers, it is imperative for retailers to blur the channel silos
and provide a consistent experience, whether it is product information or updated
inventory details or order status. Today's retailers are constrained by systems, which
traditionally were defined within distinct business units to address channel silos, whether
bricks and mortar or over the internet and were essentially disjointed.
With SOA, Retailers can trigger ordering out-of-stock items, monitor core business
processes like order fulfilment, analyze business real-time to track product performance,
proactive inventory response, consistency in price, and cross channel analysis.
