2.  The strengths of a hip hop magazine is that the
biggest artists in the music industry fall in to this
category and they have the biggest audience. It is
also enjoyed by different ethnicities and ages and
many people aspire to be like the biggest stars.
However, there are already many magazines aimed
at hip hop fans, and the hip hop magazines already
have regular buyers which would make it hard to
compete with. Hip hop would be mainly aimed at
black teens which could be a weakness.

3.  This genre of music is becoming more popular with
the Adenuga brothers (Skepta and JME) rising to
fame. Although originally appealing to black teens
there are now more people grime appeals to.
Furthermore, there aren't many grime magazines.
Despite the fact that it is becoming more popular
there isn't a big audience like hip hop and rock.
There is also a niche market for Grime as there
aren't big magazines that specifically target a grime
audience. Another weakness could be that its is
only targeted at mainly black working class teens.

4.  Rock music has always had a large audience
thanks to rock legends such as The Rolling Stones.
Rock magazines are very popular and there are a
lot of them which could be a weakness if I use this
genre. However I could use make my magazine a
cheaper alternative and offer prizes and offers to
attract more people. But rock doesn’t appeal to
audiences everywhere as it is all similar and loud
and doesn't attract many types of ethnicities and
ages.

5.  I have decided to choose Grime as my final genre
as it was the preferred genre from the people I
asked. Two out of three people said they like Grime
and they would buy a Grime magazine as there are
not many on the market. I think Grime is also my
favourite out of the three so I think it will be a good
choice.
