Amin’s career ‘took off’ in 1982 as a ticketing agent in International Travel Service, West End Hotel. Bangalore. An eager 17 at the time, he remembers his first salary of Rs 150/- with much joy and pride. He later joined Imperial Travels as Sales Manager. Imperial Travels belonged to the well known and respected Minocher family. Amin then ‘set up’ SOTC in Bangalore from ‘scratch’ at the age of 24. He recollects doing ‘booming’ business whilst sitting on the outside steps of the new office along with his team because the office interiors were still on.
