Collections Before the current budget crisis, collection budgets have continued to grow, but not at the rate of inflation Through the current crisis, our e-resources have been protected, and additional funding at 9% has been provided to compensate for inflation Some traditional collection funds have been lost Scholarly monographs have taken the brunt of cuts

Collection Priorities Protect E-journals (large packages) / cancel print journals Protect full-text databases / cancel indices Protect and adjust Approval Plans to favor e-books Expand patron-driven selection Concentrate on acquisition of primary source materials and digitize them Concentrate on developing and facilitating Open Access publications across the institution
