These natural colored shawls are generally woven
by young girls for themselves, their brothers or
family members. The colors of
the e m b r o i d e r y t h r e a d s are
vibrant vegetable colors like red, g r e e n
o r yellow. These dyes are extracted from
juices of leaves, roots and turmeric.
