Gouda wind farm, South Africa
ACCIONA’s first wind power facility in South
Africa, 51% stake.
Total installed capacity is 138 MW, consisting
of 46 ACCIONA Windpower 3 MW turbines.
Average production from the facility will be
around 423 GWh per year, covering the demand
from 200,000 homes and avoiding the emission of
406,000 t CO2.

Biggest EPC contract ever carried out by ACCIONA
Energy, built in a record 18 months, beating all
deadlines.
Operating since April 2016. Total capacity of
252 MW, generated by 84 ACCIONA Windpower
3 MW turbines.
100% renewable energy for Google
data center in Chile
Deal to provide 100% renewable energy for
electricity to be consumed by Google’s data
processing center at Quilicura in Chile.
As of 2017, ACCIONA will inject 80 MW of clean
solar power into the Central Interconnected Grid
supplying the data center.
El Romero Solar photovoltaic plant,
Chile
Construction of what will be the biggest
photovoltaic plant in Latin America and one
of the 10 largest in the world to date.
Maximum output: 247 MWp. Approximate
investment: over 300 million euros.
It will produce some 505 GWh, equivalent
to demand from 245,000 homes, avoiding
the emission of 485,000 t CO2.
Desalination plants in Qatar
Design, construction and maintenance of two
desal plants for the Qatar Electricity Water
Company.
Ras Abu Fontas A3 (Al Wakra), with a capacity of
164,000 m3
per day, and Umm Al Houl (15 km from
Doha), which will produce 284,000 m3
daily.
First project in the country to use reverse osmosis
technology on a large scale.
Line 1 of Quito Metro, Ecuador
Second phase of Line 1 of Quito Metro.
50% stake.
First suburban line of the Ecuadorean capital is
22 km long and has 13 new stations, adding

Empalme electric power grid, Mexico
Construction of the power line that will supply
the Empalme II Combined Cycle Plant.
Comprises three 400 KV overhead lines, 114 km
long, and four 400 and 230 KV substations.
1,750 MVA with fourteen 400 KV feeders.
‘Site C’ Clean Energy Project, Canada
Contract with the electricity utility BC Hydro for
the construction of one of the biggest dams in
Canada.
This project is the biggest project developed by
ACCIONA in Canada to date.
The eight-year job has employed over
8,000 people.
