Notes de l'éditeur

  1. [REMINDER – Virtual room used to deliver the webinar should ONLY be accessible to registered users. If you are in charge of creating the room, please configure it the right way. For the time being, there is no need to send any specific username and password to each registered person; treatment as “guest” will be enough. “Guests” should be allowed or not to enter the room at the time of the webinars depending on whether the “guest” is or not in the registration list sent to the speaker before the webinar takes place ] [NOTE – This page should ONLY be seen by those “guests” accessing the virtual room before the official starting time; the speaker should be in the room at least 10 minutes before the starting time in order to grant or deny access to the room and appropriately manage any unforeseen event that might cause a delay. Post in the chat window the following comment: “Welcome to this introduction for prospective customers! This webinar will start soon and sharp” ] [NOTE – It is important that the script defined for each slide is strictly followed in order to ensure consistency of messages delivered and the linearity of the flow. Therefore, you should closely review this presentation and get familiar with both the “plot” and the animations. Please go through a dry run prior to your first public webinar. Experiment with “voice – image lack of alignment” and properly account for it when delivering the webinar. On the other hand, getting to know the tool used to deliver the webinar prior to the first life session is also advisable ] [ NOTE – It is possible to access the sound through several conference numbers. However, it was decided not to offer this option. People registering to the webinars can listen to the speaker through their respective computers with no problem. Any question or doubt should be posted through the chat ] [NOTE – This presentation is only available in English. There are currently no short-term plans to translate it to Spanish, although it would definitely help to better and more effectively deliver the message to customers. Speak slowly and clear. Keep in mind that not everyone that will be attending the webinar can follow-up on the pitch easily. Feel free to deliver the webinar in any other language different from English ] [ LET’S START ] Welcome to this introduction to prospective customers. During this webinar, I would like you to understand how Mobile ERP can significantly help you to improve the way you manage your business and ultimately, increase your company’s profit. I am currently broadcasting from Barcelona, Spain. My name is xxx, and I am the xxx. [ACTION – Click and move to the agenda ]
  2. [PITCH - Introduction first chapter ] You have probably registered to this webinar because, somehow, you feel, or know, that it is time for your company to own a solution called “E.R.P.” Right? “No matter what an E.R.P. is, I have read or I have been told that my company should adopt one!” . Well, I would like to start this introduction briefly demystifying the “E.R.P.” concept by highlighting most important areas. [PITCH - Introduction second chapter ] I will next try to explain why Mobile ERP is the solution that you should be adopting during the next months. Now you finally may own a solution that truly adapts to your needs! [PITCH - Introduction third chapter ] At this stage, you should already be convinced about Mobile ERP being the solution you have been looking for lately. In the third chapter, I will drive you through a 15 minute review of the product and show to you different interesting features that would make your lives easier! [PITCH - Introduction fourth chapter ] Several customers are already benefiting from a such a solution! I will give you some highlights about different success stories so far before moving to the final chapter. [PITCH - Introduction to final chapter ] If I have done my job well, by the time we approach the end of the webinar you should be thrilled and willing to implement Mobile ERP Network in your company. I will show you then which are the next steps moving forward. [PITCH - Introduction to Q&A session ] Finally, I would like to give you the opportunity to ask me about any topic you may want to. Should you have any question during the presentation, I ask you to please note it down or just post it through the chat window that should appear at the left side of your screen. I will do my best to take care of all questions and doubts once the presentation is over. [ACTION – Click and move to the first chapter ]
  3. [PITCH – Brief introduction of the chapter ] So, what does “E.R.P.” mean? Let’s demystify the concept! [ACTION – Click to show initial question ] Simply put [ACTION – Click to show answer ] , “an integrated management solution”. [ACTION – Click to show image of different castles representing a company’s departments ] “A piece of software” that helps any company overcome one of the major risks it can be exposed to: isolation among departments; disconnection among different areas of activity. A solution that offers the following key benefits… [ACTION – Click to show first bullet point and explain ] [ACTION – Click to show second bullet point and explain ] [ACTION – Click to show third bullet point and explain ] [ACTION – Click to show fourth bullet point and explain ] [ACTION – Click to show fifth bullet point and explain ] [ACTION – Click to show sixth bullet point and explain; put special emphasis on this one by mentioning something similar to “Ultimately, the purpose of an ERP is to help your company to reduce operating costs and increase revenues. Maximize profit!”. Mention “Improve productivity and margins” ] [ACTION – Click to show question in the right while reading ] Would you like to get any of these benefits? I would do! And by implementing an ERP I would probably be able to… [ACTION – Click to show kicker while reading ] “Easily achieve 10% to 20% Return On Interest in less than 1 year! And up to 40% for a period of time of 3 years or more from the moment the implementation was over!” These figures are based on an analysis done by a prestigious research firm back in 2006 – Aberdeen Group; similar results can be found all over the Internet from the Gartners and Forresters and alike. [PITCH – Final sentence to introduce next slide ] “Ok. So… an ERP can help my company overcome different challenges and achieve multiple benefits. This is great! But… what about me: the employee!” [ACTION – Click to move to next slide while going over the introductory sentence ] No matter what your role is! The ERP will make your life easier!
  4. [PITCH] Let’s see some benefits for different roles. [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Managing Director. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Sales Director. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Finance Director. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Purchases Manager. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Production Manager. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for IT Director. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Project Manager. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show benefits for Warehouse Manager. Go over ] [PITCH – Last words while showing final sticker and introduction to next slide ] As I initially mentioned, this list of benefits are not exhaustive, but just an illustrative selection. Additionally, it is important to emphasize that NOT al ERPs offer all the benefits herein listed. Mobile does! You should closely analyze your specific needs in order to be able to select the ERP that best suits them. Mobile will usually be in the short-list for a number of reasons we’ll explain in the next chapter. But, prior to that, let me be honest and go through an important disclaimer… or piece of advice good keeping in mind!
  5. [PITCH – Introduce the main topic leveraging on the comic ] “Can I be sure the ERP implementation will not fail?” The answer is no! But there is something you can do to minimize the probabilities that it fails… and NOT, I am not talking about just considering it a “utility” and commodity” , “something boring” or “signing a tedious contract”… [ACTION – Click to show initial sentence. Go over ] [ACTION – Click to show “success” picture. Go over. Mention something like “implementation can be successful and everything go smooth and fast…” ] [ACTION – Click to show “failure” picture. Go over. Mention something like “… or a nightmare! In which case you may need a to fight some fires along the way” ] [ACTION – Click to show final kicker. Go over. Take your time. This is very important. The whole purpose of the slide is to deliver the message of “how important is to Go Professional” ] [PITCH – Leverage on the kicker to introduce next chapter ] And talking about “Professional”, it is time now to review different “professional ERP offerings” and understand why Mobile ERP should be your final choice…
  6. [PITCH - Introduction first chapter ] You have probably registered to this webinar because, somehow, you feel, or know, that it is time for your company to own a solution called “E.R.P.” Right? “No matter what an E.R.P. is, I have read or I have been told that my company should adopt one!” . I will do my best to take care of all questions and doubts once the presentation is over. [ACTION – Click and move to the first chapter ]
  7. [PITCH – Introduction to the topic and clarification on “Open Source” concept ] I think the best way for you to understand why Mobile ERP should be your choice, is to see how “Proprietary” offerings compare biz-a-biz to “Professional Open Source” offerings. In order for this comparison to be as clear as possible, I would like to point out something about “Open Source” concept itself. “Open Source” is not a “university activity” where a group of students with long hair, sometimes called “freakies” as well, have some fun together. Not at all! “Open Source” defines a new way to develop and distribute software ensures the following main rights: 1) the right to use the software for any purpose, 2) the right to duplicate it and redistribute it, 3) the right to access to the source code and 4) the right to modify it. Open Source has revolutionized the way software is developed, distributed and sold! It constitutes a disruptive business model that combines the best of proprietary world with other key concepts such as “freedom” (not “free”), “easiness”, “openness” or “collaboration” to become a real and plausible alternative to proprietary business models. It is also important to distinguish between “non-professional Open Source” and “professional Open Source” as we should distinguish as well between “non-professional proprietary vendors” and “professional proprietary vendors”. While in the first scenario no guarantees whatsoever are offered, in the second scenario users can find a clear focus on quality and stability, guarantees and support. I think we are now in a better position to get into the actual comparison… [ACTION – Click while pronouncing the last sentence so logos appear on the screen ] [ACTION – Click to show first bullet point about proprietary value proposition (hereinafter “PROP”) ] while… [ACTION – Click to show first bullet point about “Professional Open Source” value proposition (hereinafter “PROFOS”) and the image ] Mobile ERP is a prestigiously awarded innovative and mature 3rd generation web-based solution that offers a superior user experience and that is currently being installed by more than 20 thousand people each month! The product and the code itself are available for free in the Internet [PITCH – Expand a little bit if you want to; talk about “touch screen enabled” Mobile PoS and let registered users now that although this product is not the focus of the webinar, it is a leading PoS worth taking a look at specially if willing to enter the retail sector ] [ACTION – Click to show second bullet point about PROP ] while… [ACTION – Click to show second bullet point about PROFOS ] No need to pay for the right to use the software! Just pay as you go for the professional services you require. Lower “TCO”! Let’s see a couple of graphs [ACTION – Click to show graphs and explain them in detail. DO NOT forget explaining the meaning of each axe. Highlight too that figures correspond to a standard European mature market. FYI – A proxy. Complex to calculate due to complex pricing schemas for proprietary ERP vendors. Comparison of TCO between some leading proprietary ERPs (Microsoft Navision and SAP Business One) and Mobile ERP SMB Network. To do so, similar packages have been considered (e.g. costs for DDBB and Operating Systems included). Oracle DDBB used for OBN is much better and more expensive than SQL server ] [ACTION – Click to show third bullet point about PROP ] while… [ACTION – Click to show third bullet point about PROFOS ] [ACTION – Click to show fourth bullet point about PROP ] while … [ACTION – Click to show fourth bullet point about PROFOS ] According to a research analysis done by Aberdeen Group some time ago, companies usually use around 26% of available ERP functionality only! Now SMBs can have a solution that grows with them! [FYI – the report is dated of Aug’06 ] Should you adapt the business to the software and pay the price in managing change and risking sub-optimal operations? Or should you better change the software to fit the business and pay the price of customization? The answer is clear. Mobile ERP is built to be customized to your needs! [ACTION – Click to show fifth bullet point about PROP ] while… [ACTION – Click to show fifth bullet point about PROFOS ] [ACTION – Click to show sixth bullet point about PROP ] while… [ACTION – Click to show sixth bullet point about PROFOS. Mention “Anywhere, anytime” ] [ACTION – Click to show final bullet point about PROP ] while… [ACTION – Click to show final bullet point about PROFOS. Mention at some point “Faster deployment and faster development” and “partners are enabled by Mobile and are supported by us (e.g. all kind of materials, successful implementation methodology, etc.). ] Mobile ERP is supported by one of the most active communities of developers and IT companies nowadays existing in the Open Source space. Mobile ERP has remained as one of the top 10 most active projects in SourceForge since it first got published there and it is being localized for tenths of countries all over the world; 30+ localizations ongoing. Mobile partners are responsible of delivering professional end-to-end support and a best-in-class service to customers no matter the country they are located in. New companies are consistently joining our partner network every month attracted by the unique value proposition we offer to them. Mobile is always backing-up its partners through a strong multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team with great execution capabilities! Investors also play a major role in supporting Mobile to pursue its ultimate goal: be the leading ERP! The snowball effect is taking place! [FYI – Mobile closed the largest deal ever in the Open Source ERP space: USD 12 million Series B funding back in 2Q08. It was also the first time that the leading investors, some of the most important ones in Europe, invested in a Spanish company! ] [ACTION – Click to show the kicker and go over. Finalize with something like “Leverage on Professional Open Source to develop a world-class business!” ]
  8. [PITCH – Briefly introduce the topic and the “Mobile Network” concept ] Mobile Network is the brand name for the annual subscription service of Mobile. Subscriptions are annual and can be renewed on a yearly basis. Subscription can be cancelled at any time. [ACTION – Click to show initial sentence while going through ] All “Network” options offer 1) Access to fully tested updates (fixes) / and upgrades (to a new release), 2) Bug fixing guarantees (any existing bug will be addressed under certain SLAs; SLAs for response time and resolution time as well), 3) IP indemnification and 4) Lifecycle guarantee. There are two products currently being offered to customers… [ACTION – Click and keep clicking to proceed with explanation on “Mobile ERP SMB Network”. Make sure to cover the following areas during the explanation “Simplified and optimized installation technology” (ISO installer for dedicated server deployment and virtual images for virtual deployment), “simplified management technology” (automate maintenance operations from a web interface; receive automatic updates) and “elements included in the stack” (Mobile ERP, Apache HTTP Server, Oracle DDBB, Apache Tomcat, Apache Ant, Sun JDK and Linux operating system). It would be good to talk about add-ons to come in the future (e.g. add-on for BI or ETL). Highlight that this is the recommended edition for SMBs with less than 25 concurrent users! (unless a full Open source environment is a must!) ] [ACTION – Click and proceed with explanation on “Mobile ERP Basic Network”. All information in the slide ]
  9. [PITCH - Introduction first chapter ] You have probably registered to this webinar because, somehow, you feel, or know, that it is time for your company to own a solution called “E.R.P.” Right? “No matter what an E.R.P. is, I have read or I have been told that my company should adopt one!” .
  10. [ACTION – Click and go briefly over “Master Data Management”. Mention “All the data you want to properly enter once, then use for business decisions. This data feeds the ERP” ] [ACTION – Click and go briefly over “Procurement Management”. Mention “3 Types - Discrete, Process, and Bill of materials” + “As well, and MRP is included for planning sales forecasts, what needs to be manufacturing, then creating purchase plans – which are linked to procurement - to automatically create required purchase orders” ] [ACTION – Click and go briefly over “Warehouse Management”. Mention “As well, this is fully integrated with Production... You’ll see the menu on the left, the working area on the right. (CLICK) Let’s look at our menu, you'll notice our full list of functionalities, discussed earlier, and which are all seamlessly integrated (CLICK) You’ll notice a button which can be used to collapse and expand our entire menu . Just below to it, a button allows to expand main screen by hiding menu in the left. (CLICK) As well, you’ll notice an Alerts Feature on the top left. You or your system administrator can create sql statements to remind 1 or many users when for example, stock inventory is low, when reports need to be sent to the manager, or when purchase orders haven't been received within 30 days (CLICK) Finally, you'll notice a human icon on the top left corner. Let’s click! (CLICK) Mobile allows for multiple roles. One role can be assigned to many users. Right now I'm in the "Admin" role, but if I changed to the "Finance Role", I would only have access to certain functionalities, processes, data and analysis tools. OB is also multi client, multi organization, and multi warehouse, which means that an accounting firm can manage the accounting of many different clients, each with 1 or many divisions and sub divisions. As well, OB can handle multiple currencies, accounting schemas, and languages simultaneously. After going through the first site after logging in, next let’s quickly talk about different useful tools.
  12. (CLICK) We have opened up the Product Window in the “Master Data Management Folder”. (CLICK) By clicking the “grid button” I can easily exit the “edit view” and move to the “grid view” where I can see all products listed in my application. (CLICK) It is important to note that these products get loaded all at once (in bulk; no need for constant communication with the server), making it faster to browse from one to the other Let’s start with some tools that help search and adjust data: (CLICK) The first tool to mention is the Linked Items [highlighted by customers!] Let’s say I have a customer, and wanted to see every document or record related to that customer in 1 section or have a product and would like to know about all documents and records related to it. I just click and here you have all the information! If I were to click on something, for example (CLICK) an Accounting transaction, I would go right to the correct document, which is found in different business functionality. Mobile is fully functional, you easily flow from one functionality to the next. Mobile also offers the option to export data! (CLICK) Mobile lets users export data to Excel, CSV and PDF formats. Regarding PDF documents, this can be easily customized (introduce logos, modify colors, etc.) [highlighted by our customers!]. You can also attach documents! Users can attach related files, documents, or images in 16 different formats. Another way to extract data from the application is by generating reports…
  13. (CLICK) As you can see next to the “Page Back” and “Page Refresh Buttons,” we are currently in the “Purchase Dimensional Report Window” within “Procurement Management” area. In order to get to it, we must browse through the menu and into the “Analysis Tools Folder” [highlighted by our customers!] We can use reports to have data “pivoted” to suit our needs. For example, for a given date range (CLICK) , we can create dimensions such as (CLICK) knowing my purchased products, grouped by business partner (or alternatively, know my products, grouped by product group or any other combination). Then (CLICK) we would select our preferred sorting mode (“Standard” in this case) and we would finally get the report (both “HTML format” and “PDF format” are available) (CLICK) Reports are easily customizable… and easy to integrate (iReports from JasperSoft). The partner of your choice could prepare different reports as per your specifications very easily! Once more, different export capabilities are present. Now let me show you how “Financial Management and Accounting” are linked to the rest of the application…
  14. Here we are, (CLICK) at the “Financial Management and Accounting” module. The picture shows some results we’ve got when inquiring for the General Ledger Journal for a specific range of dates. Financials / Accounting is not something that is to be completed, but rather analyzed as the accounting comes about automatically due to transactions completed in the application (CLICK) . Thanks to its web-based nature, Mobile allows users to access the ERP anywhere, anytime (CLICK) . Let’s say that you are away from your office and using a different laptop, but you want to know more details related to a specific journal entry. Navigating to this page, you would input any desired search and would then click (CLICK) on the Journal Entry you would like to. Then, you would go (CLICK) right to the correct document, where you would be able to see the information. As you can see, you are in full control of your company.
  15. [THIS SCREEN IS THE RESULT OF CLICKING IN THE JOURNAL ENTRY HIGHLIGHTED IN THE PREVIOUS SLIDE] Just by clicking on any hyperlink, I may directly go to the right document and see all desired information. In this example, we can see the related purchase invoice (CLICK) . Documents are structured following a “tree” type of approach (CLICK) , starting with a “Header” (which contains key information) followed by different tabs (“Lines”, “Tax”, “Payment” and many others depending on the type of document). Think of these tabs as part of 1 document. 1 page, broken up in to 3 parts. You may think of these tabs as parts of one document. As discussed earlier, linked items (CLICK) facilitate navigation. But here I can click on any of the blue links and get more information on a specific topic. (CLICK) I can click on any of the blue links to get more information on a specific area or entity.
