3. Data Source
This report is based on data collected from around 5,000 Windows Store apps running
AdDuplex SDK v.2 (and higher). The raw data analyzed was collected over the day of
May 22nd, 2017 (UTC time) unless otherwise stated.
We have made every attempt to consolidate different reported phone model names
under their canonical retail model names, but it is possible that some of the rare model
name variations were not accounted for.
AdDuplex is the largest cross-promotion network for Windows Store apps and games
empowering developers and publishers to promote their apps for free by helping each
other. AdDuplex was established in January 2011 in Vilnius, Lithuania. As of May 2017,
more than 10,000 apps actively use AdDuplex to gain more visibility.
4. Windows 10 Desktop OS Versions
May 22nd, AdDuplex
A little over a month since
official Creators Update
(1703) release it is on 18% of
PCs, which seems to be
comparable to the rollout
velocity of the previous
Anniversary Update.

5. Windows 10 Mobile OS Versions
May 22nd, AdDuplex
Mobile Creators Update was
released much later than on
the desktop, but propagated
much faster and is now on
almost 56% of Windows 10
phones.
This could be attributed to
the likely enthusiast nature of
most people still using
Windows 10 Mobile or much
more limited variety of
hardware.
Anecdotally, I personally still
wasn’t offered to upgrade on
my Surface Pro 3 but was
auto-upgraded on Lumia 950
XL several weeks ago.

Creators Update penetration
by device manufacturer. This
time we look at it by country.
Out of 10 biggest countries
Germany is doing the best,
with close to 27% already on
Creators Update, while,
surprisingly, US is the “worst”
with only 15.2% enjoying the
latest update on their PCs.

We haven’t looked at the PC

month, but it didn’t change
much from 2 months ago.
The top 8 looks exactly the
same and movements at the

statistical discrepancy.
