1. Psalm 119:9-11
How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to Your word. I seek You
with all my heart; do not let me stray from
Your commands. I have hidden Your word
in my heart that I might not sin against you.

decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws

following Your statutes as one rejoices in
great riches.

4. These instructions serve a
dual purpose, either to
KEEP you on the straight
and narrow or to help you
FIND your way back.
Think of God’s word as both a MIRROR and a
MAP, showing us not only where we are but
hot to get to where we need to be.
We seek the FACE of God through the WORD
of God.
5. It is not about knowing the
Bible as much as meeting and
getting to know the AUTHOR
Memorizing scripture is gathering INTEL in
ADVANCE
What is INWARDLY hidden in your heart will
eventually be OUTWARDLY visible.
6. Reading, study, meditation,
and memorization are
INVITATIONS for God to
teach you through His word
The rejoicing is not in adding another MEMORY
verse, but in the ability to FOLLOW
…as we allow God’s word to take more ground
in the battleground of the MIND, we are better
enabled to keep in step with Him in the
battlefield of LIFE
