Greg and Stacy This is a strategy that potentially can address some of these issues. Greg and Stacy explain: Origins (Science teachers in Colorado), popularized by Salman Khan and Dan Pink based on his information from Karl Fitsch (Fitsch Flip) Basic ideas. You move some of the thinks you do in class with class-time to homework and outside of class time. Student then come into class and do what might have been done as home work (problem sets, etc) in class with more differentiation and support from the teacher. Or to engaged the student in other types of activities like more discussion, more handone learning, projects, problem solving etc. Shift some of the learning outside of class into the students hands outside of class. Has the potential to free up time in class for lots of other activities. The theory, application and practice are really in flux.
