1. KONDOWE RIDE – 8 DAY HORSE SAFARI
A timeless experience, true to the word safari which means “long journey” in
Swahili. A combination of wildlife viewing from horseback, delicious meals in the heart of
the bush and big game viewing from the comfort of the safari vehicle. An experience for the

3. DAY 2
You will have been assigned a horse suited to your riding ability. Today you will be
riding on Selwane Nature reserve, where we operate, and have our base. It is a
mixture of broad leafed woodland with Bushwillows and Mopane being the dominant
trees, this is a habitat well suited to grazing and browsing animals such as Giraffe,
kudu, impala, wildebeest and zebra. This reserve is in a quiet and peaceful area,
mostly surrounded by private game farms and some rural African villages, which
you will get to know.
A sun downer/ game viewing ride in afternoon will awaken your senses as you get
into the African feel.
4. DAY 3
Today you will set out early, to ride to Baobab house, which
is an old converted farmhouse. Here you will enjoy a
scrumcious lunch before you set off again on your ride.
You will ride along majestic scenery until you reach fly
camp, which is a mobile tented camp, which will be set up
in time for yuour arrival. Nature comes to life when the sun
sets, and you enjoy a delicious meal pepared by your cook
over the open fire.
It is a special experience to spend a day in the saddle out in
the wilderness, have a hearty meal and hot shower and
then rest snuggly in your tent while the African night
unfolds around you under the brilliant night sky.
Staff will be available to take care of all yur needs.
5. DAY 4
This morning, after breakfast, you will set out with your horses, towards the local community. You
will see how the locals live, and you might join into the rural African lifestyle for a day.
If you’re feeling up for it, a local meal and traditionsl dance can be made available. You will return to
the comfort of the lodge for the night.
6. Today you will have the opportunity of a game
drive in the renowned Kruger National Park. You
might get a chance to capture some of the big 5 on
camera and then spend the night at one of Krugers
numerous rest camps. A traditional South Afican
Braai (BBQ) will complete the experience as the
day comes to an end.
7. Day 6
Today you will take your last game drive in Kruger in the morning, before you head back to the lodge whre
you can enjoy some sundowners at the fire. A short sundowner ride will end the day.
Day 7
Early rise, breakfast, and off to the near lying farm for some cattle herding. You will ride there and find a
change of scenery. Agricultural land, vast open spaces, and a magnificent light. The dicersity of this land is
breathtaking. You will also have the opportunity to spot some more game from horseback on the way.
Day 8
Before your departure, we will squeeze in another ride, before you have your last scrumcious brunch
overlooking the river and soacking up some more African sun. We will transfer you back to Phalabprwa
airport for your ongoing flight.
