Cited by Ian Lennie with regard to managing metaphorically and pointing to possibilitiesThe poetry here points to how things are made in relationship. the scarlet beads don’t form without connecting with the leaf.They are an interaction effect. without the context that holds them, things might be otherwiseExpanding on a mediation effect; when I associate with certain people or things, I am altered. And so are they…If this were a detective story of what changed, I’d be looking for traces left… a contamination effectclues left say of a body, where its been, how it travelled….and then there are clues left at the crime seen and…clues left on a perpetrator….and what the environment might have left on either the body or the perpetrator… or perpetrator left…and so it goes on…Bringing this into a learning environment, would have us consider not just how we impact on learners, or on our peers, but also how they impact on us …And expanding on the mediation effect further…what of the technologies we use for this learning? How do they shape us, and are we happy with being shaped in such ways? Jan Chipchase suggests that once you have the wallet and keys the next likely common ingredient is a cellAnd given how many of these are likely to be present in the room, the danger of them, what they might be generating on mass , could make you, quiver….Id like you to consider in what ways might you also be being changed by what you carry

A cc search on Flikr portrays the effects of zombiism, if this is evidence, then yes, cell phones can at least be seen as being associated with, personally I doubtthat the causal linkBut I want to draw your attention to zombiis that like having images posted for posterity and to the t shirted graphics of a zombi that can talk and piss you off, multitalented, and can do it while using a cell phone also. The photos are from Flikr cc, and all 240 hits for zombi cell phone) are from the USA and I think would be differnet were it in NZ? Texting…. The cell effect in NZ is predominantly a texting one, or at least it is with young people here. The costs have considerable influence here, establishing patterns of behaviour…

However I have seen counselling that was previously by purely verbal means through telephone counselling make the shift (Youthline NZ now receives and engages with more text messages than any other form of initiated contact).About 7 lines by about four words a line, and every time you say something, it costs you 20 cents.
