- Art is characterized by sensory perception of the surrounding world.
- Art is subjective - only by passing through the surrounding world, a
person can claim the title of a creator.
- Imagery of art - it is the creation of an artistic image that distinguishes art.
For an artist, the means of understanding the world is an artistic image – a
n individual perception of reality born by the artist's imagination.
4. Art forms: literature, painting, sculpture, architecture, music, theater, cinema, etc.
They are distinguished by the means of creating an artistic image.
Species are combined into groups:
- Spatial - occupy some part of the space, do not change
in time and are in motion (painting, architecture, sculpture)
- Temporary - change over time while they are enjoyed
(literature, music, theater)

- Synthetic arts - seek to combine the
achievements of other types.
5. Directions of art - Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism, Realism, etc.
There is a mixture of currents - modernism, expressionism, avant-gardism,
abstractionism, surrealism, postmodernism, etc. they are distinguished by the
proximity of the images they use to convey their own vision of the world to reality.
6. The word "painting" is formed from the words "live" and "write".

with a brush or words, with a pen.”
7. Painting is capable of embodying a wide variety of phenomena, impressions,
and effects. It can depict everything: real and fictional, inanimate
objects and people, modernity and history - in a word, life in all its manifestations.
The whole world of feelings, characters, relationships,
experiences is available to painting.
8. In the traditional history of art, there are several main varieties of painting:
- easel painting (i.e. paintings),
- monumental and decorative painting (frescoes, etc.),
- theatrical and decorative arts,
- digital images,
- miniature.
