- This is not about innovating, but quasi-innovating; still a work in progress so not everything is finished; cross platform, designed to use different media but actually be easy to use. The main point is that this is a book.
- Flyer distributed at LBF; bunch of literary festivals, going to include drinks events, murder stuff at Harrogate. Story is set in Argentina, this kicks it off.
- QR code sends you to the (now closed) website of the missing directors theatre company
- This sends you to the book. Perfect for people who just want a book. Independent bookstores are very supportive because of this, means they can get in on the digital action.
- Graphic novel as well; mosaic of different letters, reports, accounts, depositions; plus of course hyperlinks and QR codes out of the book
- A mock up of the end website – provides an enrichening of the experience, includes multimedia content
- At the end people are invited to join the search for Gerrado, becomes, hopefully, something of a collective thing.
- Using web services to get it embedded and branching out
- 1.) They is a real collective (one welshman, Uruguyans, artsists etc) and then there is a real collective. Quite a confusing series of what is real. 2.) Team effort from the company, every department fully plugged in. Not a digital project at all. 3.) Totally brought to us as well – they did the work, rejected by another publisher. 4.) We could have pushed it much further, done more interpollating of web and book, more content, but wanted for the first book to keep it simple, understandable and accessible to all. Should be the beginning.
