This document discusses the determinants of personality. There are five main determinants: genetic determinants which include biological and social heredity passed down from ancestors; physiological determinants related to a person's physical traits; psychological determinants involving things like cognition and emotions; social determinants such as family, economic status, and schooling; and cultural determinants involving the internalization and institutionalization of cultural values, beliefs, and practices. Each determinant influences the development of a person's unique and evolving personality pattern.
