4. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Located in the heart of Taipei City. 5. National Palace Museum The National Palace Museum houses the world's largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures, one which spans China's nearly 5,000-year history. 6. Longshan Temple A famous old temple in Taiwan. It is for worshiping Guanshiyin Buddha and other divine spirits. The temple attracts many people. At normal times, there are domestic/foreign tourists visiting the temple. Longshan Temple is not only a temple, a sightseeing attraction, but also a second-degree historical site. There are traditional streets/shops, antique shops, Buddhists article shops, and Chinese medicine shops surrounding the temple Take the THSR to Taipei Station, continue by MRT to Longshan Temple Station.
7. Danshui: Danshui Old Street Danshui is located in northwest of Taipei basin. Danshui is surrounded by mountains and rivers and the scenery is beautiful. Hongmao Castle is a historical site in Danshui with historical meaning. It was built by the Spaniards in 1626 and restored by the Dutch. THSR Taipei Station (or TRA Taipei Station) -> Taipei MRT Danshui Station.
8. Danshui: Fisherman's Wharf Fisherman's Wharf is a multi-purpose leisure fishing port It is relaxing to lean against the fence enjoying the breeze and sights at the Danshui River mouth. In the evening, this is the best place to watch the view of the sunset. THSR Taipei Station (or TRA Taipei Station) -> Taipei MRT Danshui Station -> New Taipei City Bus (Red 26) to Fisherman's Wharf stop.
10. Jiufen / Jinguashi Jiufen used to the center of gold mining. It is located within the hills in northeast of Taiwan. The most prosperous shopping district is Jiufen Old Street. It goes through most of the village. There are many visitors on the street. Along the street there are shops vending the most famous country snack of Jiufen, yam dish and various local dishes. There are some historical items well reserved. The trip to Jiufen is full of fun and delights. Jiufen has many accommodation places provided by local residents. If you were not in a hurry, you may want to pick a nice inn and stay for the starlight and fishing lights at night. 12. Keelung Temple Space(Miaokou)Snacks The renowned food market in Keelung has been founded for more than 40 years. There are many kinds of eatery here and more than 200 food stands gather in the area of 400 meters. When walking in the food market, one would wish that he (she) had an unlimited appetite to taste all of the delicious foods here. Take the THSR to Taipei Station, transfer to other public transportation. Taiwan High Speed Rail TRA Keelung Station -> Walk about 100 meters along Zhong 1st Road and turn right at Ai 4th Road
13. Fulong Beach Fulong Beach stretches as long as 3 kilometers with golden sand. It has always been a summer resort in northern Taiwan. Every summer, a good number of tourists would gather here to swim and enjoy the sun It is the most famous beach in northern Taiwan Take the THSR to Taipei Station, continue by train to Fulong Railway Station. Take the train to Taipei Railway Station, continue by Kuo-kuang Bus (bound for Yilan, Luodong) to Fulong stop. Take the train to Keelung Railway Station, continue by Keelung Bus to Fulong stop.
