•Prepare your meats using less far: grill boil, bake, or roast.
•Use low-fat, 1% milk or fat-free, skim milk.
•Reduce the amount of refried beans, we recommend cooked
and mashed without oil only.
LIMIT: Sweet Bread from the bakery, cookies, cakes, ice cream, and
sweetened cereals, high-fat fast food choices.
AVOID: Regular soda, regular sugar, honey, syrup, sweetened juices
such as: Jumex, Sunny Delight, Tampico, and Gatorade.
HEALTHIER CHOICES: Diet soda, artificial sweeteners such as
Splenda, Equal, and Sweet & Low, Crystals Light, Water Fresh
lemonade sweetened with Splenda or Equal.
