The document discusses the issue of bullying and the need for courage to address it. It defines bullying and courage, and notes that bullying can occur through cyberbullying, verbal abuse, and physical violence in schools, online, and in the workplace. The group's project aims to bring awareness to different types of bullying and encourage standing up to bullies by reporting their behavior, as words can hurt like physical abuse. Having courage to address bullying is needed to help end it.

2. What is Courage?
• Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that
enables a person to face difficulty, danger, and
pain. It also means without fear or danger.
3. Bullying
• There are many types of bullying going on all
over the world and we chose this topic
because something needs to be done to
discontinue cyber, and physical bullying.
4. Concept
• While discussing the topic of bullying, we will talk
about the existing problem of all different types
of bullying. We will talk about cyber bullying,
verbal bullying, and physical bullying. Bullying
takes place all over whether we realize it or not.
It takes place, in schools, on the Internet, and in
the work place as well. We need to have courage
to stand up to bullies, and report someone who is
bullying somebody else because it is not right to
sit back and watch someone be bullied.
5. Theories behind Bullying
• Words Hurt - The message being sent in this
video is that words do hurt people and when you
say hurtful things to somebody, it can have the
same effect as physically hurting somebody.
• Anti-Cyber Bullying - This video is about how
cyber bullying is just as bad as verbal and physical
bullying. When you say hurtful things over the
Internet, you can be just as hurtful to someone
and still hurt somebodies feelings.
6. Roles of Group Members
• Kyle Watson – Made New Courage Song, helped perform
dance and helped put iMovie presentation together on
computer.
• Yancey Hicks – Helped and performed dance, and helped
with power point presentation.
• Chris Gorman – Did research and helped put power point
presentation together.
• Hanna Jennings – Did research, helped with iMovie
presentation and recorded dance.
• Kathleen Duckworth – Did research, performed dance, and
helped with iMovie presentation.
7. What we have learned
• During the construction of this project and
presentation, we have learned from the
research that there is more to bullying than
the typical physical abuse you normally see.
Bullies can go as far as abuse on the
internet, and the words that they say to
others. The solution to this problem is for the
person being bullied and others that witness it
to step up and have courage to report the
abuse caused by bullies.
