Catlike is celebrating its
20th anniversary. Our
unique "seijin no ji", the
consolidation of our identity,
is the true coming of age in
the Japanese culture.
Twenty years have passed in
which we haven’t admitted defeat
in the face of difficulties, many a
time choosing the more difficult
path, casting aside hundreds of
proposals to plainly focus on just a
few, in pursuit of excellence, but always
looking for that little ”extra” something
to set us apart in terms of difference and
innovation.
Today we can vouch for the loyalty and
experience, stability and durability, but also
for the authentic and untamed, distinctive
features that our brand has to offer.
And that is how we have had the privilege of
accompanying thousands of people on their
bikes, riding through hundreds of landscapes and
on hundreds of roads...
And we have been reborn with each young person
that joins in with the incombustibility of sport and
contact with nature, and for each not-so-young person
who finds themselves starting out all over again.
Because what we do and who we do it for are synonyms
of freedom and youth; we want to continually offer the
most original and distinguishing features on the market.
To all of the hands that have built a Catlike over the years, to
everyone who has used one of our products, and to everyone
who will use them and reinvent them in the future, THANK YOU

Catlike cumple 20 años. Nuestro particular "seijin no ji", la
consolidación de nuestra identidad, la verdadera mayoría de edad en
la cultura japonesa.
Han sido veinte años de no plegarnos a guiones trazados, de elegir
muchas veces el camino difícil, de descartar cientos de propuestas para
centrarnos en unas pocas, persiguiendo la excelencia, pero siempre
desde la diferencia y la innovación, siempre buscando el "algo más".
Hoy podemos hacer gala de fiabilidad y de experiencia, de solidez y
perdurabilidad, pero también de la genuinas e indómitas particularidades de
nuestra marca.
Y así, hemos tenido el privilegio de acompañar a miles de personas sobre la
bici, rodar en cientos de paisajes y vías...
Y hemos renacido con cada joven que se incorpora a la incombustibilidad del
deporte y del contacto con la naturaleza, y cada no tan joven que se reencuentra a
si mismo haciéndolo de nuevo.

It has been 20 years since
the production of the first
helmet in the Catlike factory.
We are proud to be the only
cycling helmet producer in the
Spanish territory.
20 years of knowledge and
experience in helmet develop-
ment: from design and technologi-
cal studies to the manufacturing
and distribution processes.
Intense, demanding, and hectic daily
activities have strengthened knowledge
and skills in the production process
which is represented at every department
in the Catlike factory. Artisan experience
combined with the latest technological
innovations have created unique products
which represent our brand in the world
market. Thanks to the commitment of Catlike
people and the continual renovations in order to
improve the factory, today, we are able to produce
for more than 45 countries around the world. In
contrast to the majority of Catlike's competitors,
Catlike continues to believe in the "Made in Spain"
philosophy, offering consumers products of the
highest quality.
We have enjoyed, and sometimes endured, 20 years of
daily maturing and learning. That means now is our
coming-out, our time to shine, like a promising youth in
which a solid foundation has been laid for the journey to
adulthood.
Han pasado 20 años desde la producción del primer casco en la
fábrica de Catlike. Estamos orgullosos de ser el único productor de
cascos de ciclismo en el territorio español.
Han sido 20 años de amplia experiencia y conocimiento en el
desarrollo del casco: desde el diseño y estudios tecnológicos hasta
los procesos de fabricación y distribución.
Actividades diarias intensas, exigentes y frenéticas han fortalecido el
conocimiento y las habilidades en el proceso de producción que se
representa en cada departamento en la fábrica de Catlike.
Experiencia artesana combinada con últimas innovaciones tecnológicas
hacen posible la creación de productos únicos que representan nuestra
marca en el mercado mundial. Gracias al compromiso de las personas que
forman parte de Catlike y las continuas renovaciones con el fin de mejorar la
fábrica, hoy, somos capaces de producir para más de 45 países en todo el
mundo. Al contrario que la mayoría de nuestros competidores, en Catlike
seguimos creyendo en la filosofía de "HECHO EN ESPAÑA", ofreciendo productos
de consumo de la más alta calidad.
Hemos disfrutado, y a veces sobrellevado, durante 20 años de maduración y

Graphene: The last
technological frontier
Grafeno la última

Graphene is a totally new material, derived
from graphite. Its basic structure is formed by
carbon atoms set out in a hexagonal shape. This
creates layered structures (like a honeycomb) of
thick atoms whose interrelation, along with
the “Van der Waals” forces, achieves a
material up to 200 times more resistant than
steel, and is extremely light. This material
exhibits enormous mechanical resistance and
some unique electronic properties. Its
extraordinary properties and its potential
technical applications have made graphene one
of the most active research fields in materials
physics.
Thanks to the Cat-Lab and its engineering
department, Catlike is the first in its industry to
use Graphene Nanofibers in their products. All
research tests made fusing Graphene with
different materials are focused on improving
durability, lightness and reducing volume of the
product.
Gracias al CAT-LAB y a los expertos ingenieros
involucrados en el desarrollo de los productos, se
estrenan en el mercado los primeros productos con
Nanofibras de Grafeno. Todos los estudios y
pruebas efectuadas fundiendo el Grafeno con
diferentes materiales, se centran en la mejora de la
durabilidad, reducción del volumen y ligereza del
producto.
El grafeno es un material totalmente nuevo,
derivado del grafito, y tiene unas propiedades
físicas y químicas muy interesantes. Su
estructura básica está formada por átomos
de carbono dispuestos de una forma hexagonal.
Ello da lugar a estructuras laminares (forma de
panal de abejas) de un átomo de espesor, y
cuyos enlaces covalentes entre ellos, junto con
las fuerzas de “Van der Waals”, consiguen un
material hasta 200 veces más resistente que el
acero y de una extrema ligereza.Este material
exhibe una enorme resistencia mecánica y
unas propiedades electrónicas únicas. Sus
extraordinarias propiedades y sus potenciales
aplicaciones técnicas han hecho del grafeno
uno de los campos de investigación más activos
en física de materiales.

Aramid is a material used in aerospace and
ballistic applications for its strength properties.
Mixino’s internal cage is a union between aramid
and graphene nanofibers, which has allowed us
to improve the helmet's safety features while
maintaining minimum weight and volume
specifications.
Aramida es un material utilizado más comune-
mente en las industrias aerospacial y balística
por sus extraordinarias propriedades de
resistencia. La malla interior del Mixino, unión
entre aramida y nanofibra de grafeno, ha
permitido mejorar las prestaciones de seguridad
del casco, llegando a un volumen y pesos
mínimos.
In order to maximize safety, Vacuum was designed
with inspiration from the human ribs, to create the
"Air Tube System". In the event of a crash the "Air
Tube System" absorbs the impact guaranteeing the
maximum protection and avoiding breakage in the
helmet structure. Protection is our primary mission
at Catlike.
El diseño del Vacuum y "Air Tube System" se
inspiran en las costillas humanas para maximizar la
seguridad. En caso de un impacto el "Air Tube
System" abosrbe el golpe garantizando la máxima
protección y evitando roturas en la estructura del
casco. La protección es el valor más importante
para Catlike.
Internal Cage
Whisper helmet is infused with a lateral inner
meshing of Polyamide which provides strength
and stiffness. Furthermore, this safety element
is also responsible for maintaining the
structure of the helmet in case of a strong
impact, enhancing head protection.

El casco Whisper cuenta con una malla interior
lateral en Poliamida que le aporta resistencia, y
rigidez. Además este elemento de seguridad
también se encarga de mantener la estructura del
casco unida en caso de un fuerte impacto,

Design and safety have been harmoniously
integrated to protect the occipital area with LNP
technology; helmets are designed with a speciﬁc
lower rear structure to fully protect this fragile
area.
Para la protección de la zona occipital se han
integrado armoniosamente a la perfección el
diseño con la seguridad, tecnología LNP,
desarrollando cascos que presentan la parte
trasera más baja de lo habitual para así
resguardar completamente esta frágil zona.

The Mixino was designed so that in the event of
an accident, the head suffers minimal damage.
The interior frontal lining of the helmet is
comprised of expanded polystyrene, a material
perfectly suited for the absorption of impacts.
El Mixino tiene un diseño preparado para que en
caso de impacto la cabeza sufra el mínimo daño
posible. Para ello en la parte interior delantera del
casco se ha insertado el poliestireno expandido,
un material que por su composición está
preparado para absorber mejor los impactos.

The unique design of the Catlike helmets is not
only based on aesthetics. The air intakes have
been strategically positioned so that any impact
will affect more than one nerve (CES). In the
event of a crash, the energy generated will
spread throughout the honeycomb-type structure,
signiﬁcantly increasing the head's safety.
El singular diseño de los cascos Catlike no está
motivado únicamente por lo estético. Se ha
privilegiado la ubicación de las tomas de aire de
tal manera que cualquier impacto afecte a más
de un nervio (CES). En caso de choque, la
energía generada se dispersa en la estructura
aumentando exponencialmente la seguridad de
la cabeza.

The head is the main temperature sensor in our
body. Excessive heat can cause symptoms of
fatigue, dizziness and even dehydration; Catlike
has taken this into consideration along with the
needs of athletes, and designed the Dual Flow and
TRI Flow systems.
La cabeza es el principal sensor de temperatura de
nuestro cuerpo. Un asunto para nada superficial ya
que un excesivo calor nos puede provocar
síntomas de fatiga, mareos e incluso deshidrata-
ción, Por todo esto, y teniendo muy en cuenta las
necesidades del deportista, se ha desarrollado el
diseño del sistema Dual Flow y TRI Dual Flow.
Research suggests that if a cyclist can keep their
body temperature lower, they are able to conserve
more energy for the race and perform better. The
RAPID is designed to allow maximum ventilation
without compromising the overall aerodynamics of
the helmet. TRI Flow works by channeling airflow
along both sides of the head and out of the back
iwhich in turn keeps the head cool without
sacrificing aerodynamics.
Sólo un buen casco no gana la carrera, pero en
cambio hay aspectos en el RAPID que si son
diferenciadores. El tema de la aerodinámica que
puede suponer algunos segundos de ventaja entre un
ciclista y otro, además, el RAPID incorpora unos
amplios orificios diseñados específicamente para
mejorar la ventilación de la zona superior y lateral de la
cabeza. TRI flujo mediante la canalización de flujo de
aire y 2 lados de la cabeza y fuera de la parte trasera es
capaz de mantener la cabeza fría, sin sacrificar la
aerodinámica.

de nuestro cuerpo. Un asunto para nada
superficial ya que un excesivo calor nos puede
provocar síntomas de fatiga, mareos e incluso
deshidratación, Teniendo muy en cuenta las
necesidades del deportista, se ha desarrollado
el diseño del sistema Dual Flow que ofrece una
ventilación extrema. 39 agujeros que junto a
los canales internos favorecen la entrada de un
flujo de aire constante en el interior del casco,
evitando el sobrecalentamiento de la cabeza.

any discomfort in the occipital area of the skull.

wheel of the MPS eVo, allows adjusting the
diameter of the retention to the millimeter with

The aim of the ergonomic adjustment is to provide
outstanding stability for any type of head. For this
reason Catlike has divided the head into four main
categories (table below) and offer three different
padding thicknesses accordingly. Depending on
the shape of your head it is possible to customize
the comfort by changing the lateral padding.
El objetivo del ajuste ergonómico es proporcionar
estabilidad excepcional a cualquier tipo de cabeza.
Por esta razón Catlike clasiﬁca las cabezas en 4
categorías principales (tabla abajo) y ofrece con el
casco 4 rellenos de diferente grosor. Dependiendo
de la forma de la cabeza es posible personalizar el
registro de la comodidad cambiando los

The Wind Tunnel
El Túnel del Viento
Since last year, the Catlike R+D team has been collaborating with researchers from the University of
Granada to study the performance of cycling helmet shapes using different materials in the wind
tunnel located in CEAMA (Centro Andaluz de Medio Ambiente, Spain).
The main variables of Wind Tunnel tests are aerodynamics and ventilation. Catlike collects this data
and uses it to develop new helmets. RAPID, is our latest helmet that offers excellent performance and
supreme aerodynamics without losing ventilation.
Desde la primavera del año pasado, Catlike está colaborando con investigadores de la Universidad de
Granada para el estudio del comportamiento de distintos materiales y formas del casco de ciclismo en
el túnel del viento ubicado en CEAMA (Centro Andaluz de Medio Ambiente).
Las principales variables que han entrado en juego en los ensayos en el tunel del viento son
aerodinámica y ventilación. El departamento de I+D+i de Catlike se ha servido de estos datos para
trabajar en el RAPID, un casco que ofrece un rendimiento óptimo, combinando de la mejor forma
posible una buena aerodinámica sin tener que renunciar a la ventilación.
T.T. helmets with a long teardrop shaped tail are very aerodynamic in ideal conditions where a rider
is able to keep their head straight and looking up at all times during a race. But once a rider looks
down or to the side, the long tail sticks out into the air and creates a lot of drag. Recent research
suggests that the best design for a T.T. helmet where the rider moves their head, a lot is a shorter,
more rounded tail that is aerodynamic in all conditions, not just when the rider’s head is up. This is
exactly what the RAPID helmet is designed for: maximum aerodynamics in real world conditions.
Los cascos de contrarreloj con cola, dan unos rendimientos aerodinámicos muy buenos, cuando el
ciclista adopta una postura aerodinámica perfecta, sin mover la cabeza. En cambio, especialmente
en carrera largas, la mayoría de los ciclistas mueven la cabeza arriba y abajo, también lateralmen-
te, levantando la cola del casco. Esto hace que la cola interfiera en el flujo de viento disminuyendo
el rendimiento aerodinámico. Se ha podido identificar a traves de test en el túnel de viento una
forma ideal que para las diferentes inclinaciones de cabeza que adopta el ciclista es más eficiente:
nace RAPID.

Aerodinámica
RAPID helmet includes three points of ventilation strategically placed in order to guarantee airflow
without compromising aerodynamics. That is what we call "TRI VENTILATION". The first point is in
the frontal area of the helmet: two air above the forehead and another two in rear part. This is
linked by an internal air-channel guaranteeing a continuous air flow in the upper area of the head
where heat accumulates At the same time the frontal design of the air vents do not compromise the
aerodynamics of the helmet. These four holes create constant air flow that allows cooling the
temperature around the head.
The second and third ventilation points are located in the lateral parts of the RAPID, where the air
flows because of the openings created in the visor and in the lateral areas of the helmet. The ears
act as temperature sensors so these two constant air channels are essential for the riders to keep
them fresh.
El casco RAPID incluye tres puntos de ventilación estratégicamente situados para garantizar la
ventilación sin comprometer la aerodinámica. Esto es a lo que llamamos "TRI VENTILATION". El
primer punto se encuentra en la parte frontal del casco: dos tomas de aire en el frente y otras dos
en la parte trasera. Esta ventilación conectada por un canal interno de aire garantiza un flujo de
aire continuo en la parte superior de la cabeza donde el calor se almacena.v Al mismo tiempo la
posición frontal de las tomas de aire no influyen en la aerodinámica del casco. Estos cuatro
agujeros crean un constante flujo de aire que permite bajar la temperatura de la cabeza.
El segundo y tercer puntos de ventilación se localizan en las partes laterales del RAPID, donde el
aire fluye gracias a las oberturas creadas por el visor y las partes laterales del casco. Las orejas
son un sensor de temperatura por lo que estas dos ventilaciones constantes son esenciales para
que los ciclistas se mantengan frescos.

PROTECTION
BlueBlocker lenses, made in France by CRIDALON,
manage the light reaching the eye to reduce
glare, enhance contrast and increase patient
comfort and mobility in bright sunlight, all while
offering natural color rendition and full coverage
of ultraviolet and blue-light protection.
Blue Blocker lenses are available in Red (cat.3)
and in Silver (cat.4) for D’Lux model.

changes from cat.2 to cat.3 for overcast to sunny

The Whisper and Talent cycling shoe line
were designed to maximize comfort without
sacrificing performance. The Whisper and
Talent shoes have a wrap-around construc-
tion that holds your foot snug and pushes it
back into the heel of the shoe, where anti-slip
lining keeps the foot firmly in place. The toe
box is slightly wider, but not too wide and can
actually expand a few millimeters extra due to
a small overlap near the base of the tongue.
Finally the Whisper shoe has a small Velcro
strap (Talent has two straps) to give the rider
extra leverage to tighten down the toe area
during intense rides.
La línea de calzado de ciclismo Whisper y
Talent han sido diseñada para maximizar el
confort sin sacrificar el rendimiento. Las
zapatillas Whisper tienen una construcción

Whisper TRI is also extremely light (210 gr in size 43) thanks to the 100% carbon sole mixed with Graphene Nanofiber.
This innovative material is 200 times harder than steel and extremely light. The result of a union between Carbon and
Graphene fibers is a stiffer and lighter sole. 9 air-intakes and the removed tongue allow the triathlete’s feet room to
breathe while draining out the water from the swimming portion of the race. The antibacterial air-mesh upholsters the
shoes allowing a quick and easy dry. Maximum comfort guaranteed.

Having the proper equipment can often make or break a triathlete’s time during the race. Whisper TRI shoes
provide the ability to effectively compete in the race while optimizing the amount of time they take to change
between events. To minimize the triathlon times before and during the race the athletes typically leave the shoes
clipped into their bikes. Whipser TRI offers a few details that can help the triathlete to be faster in the transition
time:
- Lateral Nylon loop to tie an elastic band onto the bicycle. The shoes will maintain a correct position (photo 1)
- Rear loop to put the shoes on quickly (photo 2).
- Velcro strap system in order to maintain a state of readiness (photo 3).

Hollow-core fiber technology provides
maximum warmth at the lightest weight. The
