  1. Keep this exercise quite short by keeping your delegates focused on the task. Make sure each person has an opportunity to participate in the first stage. Tell them when discussion time is up. There are two main points from this exercise: 1. It is an exercise in listening skills (each pairing has to listen to each other and then introduce each other to the whole group). 2. There can be a brief discussion about how and why managers or supervisors need to keep informed of, and show an interest in, their colleagues life outside of work.
