2. What is good grooming
● Grooming is simply taking care of oneself.
● Some words used to describe a well groomed
person include; neat, tidy, orderly, spic and span
carefully dressed, meticulous etc
● Grooming is to an extent also related to once
demeanor .i.e. how one carries themselves, there
posture.

3. Importance of good grooming
● “A picture is worth a thousand words.” The picture
created by your appearance will greatly influence a
person's opinion of you.
● Studies have shown that most people form an
impression during the first seven seconds of seeing
a person
● When you are well groomed you feel good about
yourself,you naturally convey confidence and a
positive attitude.

4. Some attributes of a properly
groomed person
● They look neat.
● They are attractive.
● They exude confidence
● They create a positive impression of themselves
● They display good manerisms.

Hair Men-Clean, trimmed and neatly combed and
arranged
Women-Clean and neatly combed or arranged.
Avoid colorings or hair additions that are too
loud.
Facial hair neatly shaved
Finger nails Neat clean and trimmed. For ladies, replace the
polish before it shows peeling.
Teeth Brushed and fresh breath. Beware of foods
which may leave breath odor. Use a breath mint
if needed.
Body Freshly bathed. Use deodorant if necessary.
Make up(ladies) Use sparingly and be natural looking.
Perfumes/Colognes/Aftershave. Use sparingly.
Jewelry Be conservative and avoid exaggeratedly

and not slouching on the seat.

● Proper tone and projection of voice.
