Previous to returning to academia, I worked in the knowledge management industry for nearly 10 years in technical, sales, and marketing positions. I am currently part of the Rutgers Business School where I study knowledge, innovation, and creativity. My research examines the similarities and differences between solicited and unsolicited knowledge exchange interactions (including source and recipient motivation as well as the organizational value of each type of knowledge flow), the philosophy and measurement of knowledge and technological spaces, and the role of reputation and status in knowledge networks.
