lawsuit in his country on
behalf of others who
undergo the negative side
effects of Actos.

for concealing the
possible side effects of
taking the prescription
drug.

5. When the Canadian plaintiffs began
taking Actos in 2008, the drug did not
have a black box warning on all its
packaging unlike today.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration
mandated that Takeda Pharmaceuticals post a
black box warning that will inform users of the
negative reactions the drug can cause.
The FDA approved of the new label just a year
ago, on August 14, 2011.

6. A ten year epidemiological study
found that type 2 diabetics who
have taken Actos for more than a
year had a 40 percent chance of
acquiring bladder cancer.
The class action Actos lawsuit is
filed in the Superior Court in
Montreal and is in many ways
similar to those filed in the U.S.A.
