October 1985. I was 11 years old, visiting a trade show with my mother. There was a booth where you could have your picture taken, and they immediately printed the photograph on a calendar. I was amazed. No film to finish, no waiting for days for it to be developed. Just a computer with a camera and a printer. I still have the picture, you can see the enthusiasm in my eyes, through the dots and dashes the the image is made up of.
